After big blue Mama deciding to wait almost an entire month to kick out her babies…I have spotted my 1st little blue shrimplet!!!

He is on the rock, the tiny little blue speck. Meisha (my 4 year old grandson’s betta, yes he named him) is also very proud and has to photobomb every picture!🤣 Everyone said once I get my 1st one, they would all start getting knocked up! Now all of my females are berried and my males are going crazy all over the tank. Yay!!! I freaking love this hobby!❤️

Question?

I have seen it in several posts and now I can’t find it. Which clear protectant spray do I need to get to make the cute little house I bought for my shrimpies to hide in aquarium safe?

Is this a baby ramshorn snail?! It’s so dang cute!

Just noticed this little guy! I have had lots of egg clutches but first one that’s not a bladder snail! He is so tiny and cute! I’m already in love!

My first berried female!!!

I wish I could have gotten a better video, but she’s in the hide. I can see the little eggs!

Are they grown yet?

My shrimpies were my Mother’s Day gift. They are really growing! My question is are they full grown yet? I want berried females SO bad!

My babies are growing so fast!

Happy tank mates with Meisha the betta (my 4 year old grandson named him lol) 2 guppies, 4 nerite snails, 2 giant ramshorn snails, and 1 albino Cory because we are waiting for our LFS to get more. In the breeder box in 2 clutches of eggs from my giants! I have a feeling I will be giving many away very soon. I keep plenty of pothos and floaters in my tank for them to eat. They don’t bother plants like swords, anubias, buce and Java fern and they are so fun to have because they are much more active than my nerites. I definitely recommend them. You just have to feed them well and get plants that they won’t eat. They are prolific breeders though.

How ya like my snail mobile?!

I am completely obsessed with my shrimp and snail tank! I had fish tanks for years, but this is definitely the tank for me! I can’t quit watching them. :)

Just added my shrimp yesterday and everyone is happy!❤️

New shrimp/snail Mommy here! I was so worried about getting everything correct for my shrimp. I cycled my tank for months and used a sponge filter from an established tank to get them started. Yesterday, we went to a LFS about an hour away after a horrible day. I was only expecting to get a few more plants and maybe a snail for my tank because I haven’t found shrimp in my area. I was planning on ordering them, but I found these adorable little guys and ai love them! I know people say not to mix colors, but I’m okay with clear babies. I was sold these as cherry shrimp, but are they still cherry shrimp if they are blue and yellow? I bought 10 to start with and they are all doing great!

Is the little guy on the rock a good guy or a bad guy? I have been patiently cycling my tank so that I can have shrimp! I have good green algae and have been watching for microorganisms to show up. My api test kit should arrive in a few days so I can check water parameters.

Hi everyone! It’s been at least 10 years since I have owned fish. I’m a reptile Mama🙂 I got this 10 gallon tank and lights only to rehab a SST that had his shell eaten by a RES. He healed up beautifully, and has now been returned to the wild.🥰 Now I have this tank with 3 minnows that were not eaten, so I just stuck some struggling plants that my Mama gave me in there. I was wanting some shrimp. Is that possible? I’ve never had shrimp. I need all the advice.🙂

Found this big boy in my Amaryllis bed today! Looked it up and it’s a Rosey wolf snail also known as a cannibal snail.
