Anyone using removable weight loungers on your shallow pool shelf?

I am purchasing a home with a shallow tanning ledge land I’m looking at chairs for it. The water sits around 8 inches deep, and the biggest issue is that it has an automatic cover. I fear anything that is difficult to move will probably become annoying pretty quickly.

Most of the heavier loungers I’ve seen are filled with water. I came across AquaCurve and I’m interested because its chairs use removable sandbags, but I haven’t seen many discussions online to know how well they work.

For people who have used these sandbag chairs, I’m mainly wondering:

- Does removable ballast keep the chair from drifting when someone gets up?
- Is sand easier to manage than draining a water-filled chair?
- Do the bags collect algae or debris over time?
- Would you choose the compact upright version or a longer chaise for an 8-inch ledge?

I’m open to all brands and more worried about whether the weighting system is actually practical during a full pool season. I appreciate any insight :-)

RGB flashlight recommendations for light painting?

Hey all, just recently found this sub and wanting to get more into light painting myself :) would appreciate any tips and tricks you might have around RGB flashlights!

I’ve been playing around with small lights for quick long-exposure photos, mostly in my backyard or on camping trips. I’ve seen people use proper light wands and panels, but have enjoyed more the EDC-style lights because they’re easier to take on the go and change your approach on the fly.

I’d love to understand from you all whether a “fun” flashlight with RGB / green / UV modes / little pixel screen is useful enough for casual light painting, or if it’s mostly a toy. I saw the Lumintop Pixel 300 and the idea of using the dial + color modes for little trails / background effects seems cool, but I haven’t seen many real-world examples when lurking.

Anyone here use small flashlights instead of dedicated light painting gear? Do the color modes actually look decent on camera, or do they end up looking cheap / blown out?

Thank you all again for your insights and expertise!

Would decent parking monitoring actually sway your decision when buying a head unit?

It seems like most people shop these things for CarPlay, audio, and screen size first, which makes sense. For example there are countless people who lack of CarPlay is a deal breaker for buying a Tesla. But if your car sits outside a lot, I kind of wonder if parking protection should matter more when choosing what to buy.

I was reading through the ATOTO X10G129E specs and noticed it puts a lot of emphasis on parking monitoring, event lock, dual-camera support, GPS and playback.

So now I'm curious to hear from others - if two units were in the same general price range, would solid parking monitoring actually push you toward one over the other?

Especially wondering what people think if you often park at:
- apartment parking lots
- street parking
- long workday parking
- rideshare/delivery use

Would parking monitor feature then matter more to you than cleaner UI or app extras, or not really?

Asking because it seems useful, but I don't know how much it should change my buying decision.
