Surfans F20 Pro and Mako Launcher, match made in Heaven??

First want to give credit where it’s due, huge shoutout to a redditor in this community who recommended Mako Launcher a while back. I sideloaded it onto my Surfans F20 Pro, and the entire setup feels like a whole new level of simplicity :-)

The F20 Pro is my pocket music companion. Pairing this with Mako takes the experience to another level. Since Mako is fully open-source, lightweight (literally around 1MB), and zero-bloat, it launches instantly and swipes smoothly on my F20 Pro's screen. It eliminates the annoying UI and keeps the F20 Pro focused purely on music without any extra clutter. It makes it easy to jump between my playback apps.

I also love the no ADs or no complicated UI, just distraction-free listening with a pixel launcher. It really feels that Mako provided a minimalist setup and smooth navigation just for the F20 Pro's small screen. I’m excited to try it on any other mini Android device as well as I think it would work great.

What I am looking for and would love your suggestions is a player app as fluent as Mako to elevate my F20 Pro!! Thank you for any suggestions or ideas :-)

How to keep consistent product listings across channels?

Hey all - new to the e-commerce space and would appreciate any insights :-)

I'm trying to tighten up our listing process before Q4 and I'm realizing we are very messy keeping a same product listing accurate across Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, eBay, and sometimes Temu.

The little differences add up like title length, image rules, variant naming, category quirks, shipping language, return policy wording, and platform-specific keywords. One SKU quickly becomes five different projects.

I've been looking at tools to address this and Accio Work caught my eye. Their pitch is “one product brief turning into marketplace-ready listings”. That sounds useful, but I am curious how this community thinks about this or approaches this problem to solve.

Do you still prefer writing each marketplace listing manually, or would you trust an ops tool to generate the first version and then have a human review after?

My automated good-morning drafts made me sound like a different boyfriend every day

My girlfriend and I live in different time zones and she likes receiving a message when she wakes up. However, her morning begins in the busiest time of my day. I kept forgetting to text her, so I experimented with scheduled message drafts with Accio Work.

I created several ‘tones’ so the messages wouldn’t become repetitive (warm, funny, poetic and encouraging). Accio Work generated the drafts each evening, and I reviewed them before scheduling them to be sent.

After one week, my girlfriend asked why I had suddenly started writing like four different people.

- Monday was normal.
- Tuesday included a motivational quote.
- Wednesday compared her to sunrise.
- Thursday sounded like customer support wishing her a productive day.

I gave Accio Work the messages I had written naturally during the previous month and asked it to compare sentence length, vocabulary and level of affection with the generated drafts.

The analysis found that my real messages were short, too specific, and usually referenced something happening that day. The generated ones were longer and more generic.

I changed the instructions to no quotes, no metaphors, maximum two sentences and always mention one real detail from our conversation. This addition made the drafts became much less impressive and much more believable.

We still use the reminder, but I usually write the actual message myself. Automating the timing helped. Automating my personality did not. I’d love to hear your thoughts on if this was something you’ve tried or helped assist with!

Surprised by Electrician quote, want to change our patio fan plan

Hey all - new homeowner here and would love some additional perspectives :)

We planned to hardwire a ceiling fan over our patio table, but the simple job turned into a complex task. We needed to run a longer cable, install anew outdoor box, and patch more than expected. These additional requirements significantly cost more than the fan itself.

This sent me down the rabbit hole of whether I should install a solar ceiling fan instead. Ventallion is the option I keep coming back to because the panel can sit away from the shaded patio roof and the fan has its own light / battery. It makes sense in theory, but I am not sure whether I am solving one wiring problem by creating another.

The patio is covered and used mostly from dinner until around 10 pm. Some of my goals / requirements are:
- provide steady airflow on low or medium speed
- The light only needs to cover the table

If anyone has gone this route, what mattered most to you in the long run?battery runtime, panel location, fan size, or something else? And would you still choose solar if hardwiring cost roughly the same as the fixture?

Kia Forte Community! What are your car cover recommendations?

Hello all! Just recently landed myself a Kia Forte and would love some guidance :-)

I live in Texas and I need to store my car outside on the driveway for about a week. My concern is the sun will fade away the paint or the animal droppings will rust the car if it gets on it. Any recommendations or guidance on good car covers?

Anyone using removable weight loungers on your shallow pool shelf?

I am purchasing a home with a shallow tanning ledge land I’m looking at chairs for it. The water sits around 8 inches deep, and the biggest issue is that it has an automatic cover. I fear anything that is difficult to move will probably become annoying pretty quickly.

Most of the heavier loungers I’ve seen are filled with water. I came across AquaCurve and I’m interested because its chairs use removable sandbags, but I haven’t seen many discussions online to know how well they work.

For people who have used these sandbag chairs, I’m mainly wondering:

- Does removable ballast keep the chair from drifting when someone gets up?
- Is sand easier to manage than draining a water-filled chair?
- Do the bags collect algae or debris over time?
- Would you choose the compact upright version or a longer chaise for an 8-inch ledge?

I’m open to all brands and more worried about whether the weighting system is actually practical during a full pool season. I appreciate any insight :-)

RGB flashlight recommendations for light painting?

Hey all, just recently found this sub and wanting to get more into light painting myself :) would appreciate any tips and tricks you might have around RGB flashlights!

I’ve been playing around with small lights for quick long-exposure photos, mostly in my backyard or on camping trips. I’ve seen people use proper light wands and panels, but have enjoyed more the EDC-style lights because they’re easier to take on the go and change your approach on the fly.

I’d love to understand from you all whether a “fun” flashlight with RGB / green / UV modes / little pixel screen is useful enough for casual light painting, or if it’s mostly a toy. I saw the Lumintop Pixel 300 and the idea of using the dial + color modes for little trails / background effects seems cool, but I haven’t seen many real-world examples when lurking.

Anyone here use small flashlights instead of dedicated light painting gear? Do the color modes actually look decent on camera, or do they end up looking cheap / blown out?

Thank you all again for your insights and expertise!

Would decent parking monitoring actually sway your decision when buying a head unit?

It seems like most people shop these things for CarPlay, audio, and screen size first, which makes sense. For example there are countless people who lack of CarPlay is a deal breaker for buying a Tesla. But if your car sits outside a lot, I kind of wonder if parking protection should matter more when choosing what to buy.

I was reading through the ATOTO X10G129E specs and noticed it puts a lot of emphasis on parking monitoring, event lock, dual-camera support, GPS and playback.

So now I'm curious to hear from others - if two units were in the same general price range, would solid parking monitoring actually push you toward one over the other?

Especially wondering what people think if you often park at:
- apartment parking lots
- street parking
- long workday parking
- rideshare/delivery use

Would parking monitor feature then matter more to you than cleaner UI or app extras, or not really?

Asking because it seems useful, but I don't know how much it should change my buying decision.
