Scared to be a SAHM and one day my husband suddenly wants to divorce

3AM overthinking on this

I am enjoying being a SAHM but I am terrified that one day my relationship doesn’t work out and I get divorced. The lack of savings and having to start at an entry level job with low pay. Not having a stable home and struggling to pay bills terrifies me.

My husband has me on all his credit cards so my credit is not an issue. Just the fear of not being able to make it by myself. Not to mention if we are married 10-15 years and I am a SAHM all that time then divorce.. I won’t be able to survive on 50% of his retirement amount.

Therefore I have decided to start working as soon as my baby turns 3. I am studying free certifications online like AI and Microsoft to be able to have a talking point regarding my gap in employment in my resume

And yes 3 is so young to be put in daycare but if I go back to work, my baby can be in a private montessori preschool with the best care and education

I told my husband that I hope someone teaches him a lesson one day and meant it

Fruit plate for lunch

We were in line to get gas at costco and the car in front wouldn’t move up to an available spot so my husband got out and knocked on their window and told them to move. After we were pumping gas, the guy asked my husband calmly what he was trying to tell them and my husband told them “didn’t you see the available spot? You need to keep the line moving man” and made an annoyed face to the guy. I told my husband that there was no need for that and he got annoyed saying that they needed to move and that the guy was an idiot. I then snapped and said “ I hope someone teaches you a lesson one day”

Well now he’s mad at me and won’t talk to me and said if I truly feel like someone should hurt him then we should get separated because he doesn’t need someone like that in his life.

He does this a lot

Like cutting people aggressively while driving if they’re going slow or if they do something that bothers him

Honking at people sometimes multiple honks when they don’t drive fast enough / cut him off

He said “They’re taking their sweet time “ loud for them to hear to a group of people in front of us when walking

He said “man he needs to hurry up” loud when a guy in front of the line was taking long placing a food order

Getting annoyed and raising his voice at an employee while we were at a store

Making obvious annoying faces to people in random scenarios. He has no poker face

And more.. these are just a few that are recent

Btw we live in an open carry state so sometimes you plainly see a firearm on someone. You just need to piss off the wrong person especially during road rages. Gun laws are insane in the USA and thats the reason why there’s so much gun violence but that’s another topic of discussion…

I always get scared even more when we have our kids with us when he does things like this. And I really meant it when I said I wish someone could teach him a lesson. Like someone could go off on him and maybe give him a little push, shove, slap because talking to him about it just pisses him off?? hes a bully and yes Ive spoken to him a million x and told him it makes me scared and uncomfortable and he always justifies his behavior

Hes an overall good husband just this behavior of his..

I am starting to resent my husband

My husband and I just had our baby 4 months ago. He has 2 kids from a previous marriage and its my first.

I have always wanted to have 2 kids. Its something I have seen myself have in my life since forever. A mom of 2. Well the conversation came up a few days ago about another baby and my husband said he absolutely wants no more kids. We discussed this for hours and he is firm. He is older than me by 15 years.. he is 45 but looks like he’s mid-late 30s. Anyway he says he is getting old and feels he won’t get to spent much time with the kid if we were to have another one in the future, which I guess is a valid point. We had the conversation of kids in the past like before marriage and I did mention I wanted 2 babies but the conversations were never detailed.. like we would talk about it in passing. He would never say yes or no to 2 babies and I never set it as a non negotiable. It was always brief conversations about the topic. And when we started trying for our baby, we were just focused on this pregnancy and not the future.

Now that I am a mom.. I am loving every second of it. I really would love to have another baby but I also don’t want to go over my husband’s decision of no more baby and get pregnant on purpose. I feel like I am going to resent my husband in the future bad.. AND he would resent me if I were to get pregnant again.

And its making me overthink my marriage. Like why did I even marry someone with a huge age gap?! Why didn’t I voice that I wanted to have 2 babies and was firm about it since the beginning?? What if I decide to be okay with his decision of no more baby and regret it later in life?? It also took me a long time to get pregnant so I am also blaming my body !!!

BTW He is an AMAZING husband. But I dont know if tthat will be enough to make be want to be okay with this. The two kids from his previous marriage, they have their mom. They aren’t my kids even if I love them. So they don’t satisfy my heart’s desire of being mom of another baby.

Shit what if I make a stupid decision later in life.. like getting preggo on purpose or divorce. I will bring up the topic again in a few months but I don’t see him changing his mind. I feel so annoyed by him and the idea of just getting a whole new man that can give me a 2nd baby is flowing my mind. Its just the anger in me talking but fml

Hot cheetos and pickles for late snack (currently wanting to get a hot cheeto and poke his eye with it)

“It gets better“ is not as accurate and you can’t tell me otherwise!!

I was one of those who was like yes it gets better after my baby started sleeping better!! but now as I am going through the 4th month sleep regression I just think it is worse than newborn phase. I would wake up every 2-3 hours when my baby was 0-12 weeks old then I got an amazing 7 weeks of sleeping straight through the night then now come 4 months old (19 weeks) my baby is waking up 4-6 times a night!! And its the rock to sleep, put in crib, wakes up after 30 minutes (right when Im just starting to drift off to sleep) pick up, feed, rock to sleep, put in crib, wakes up after 15 mins and REPEAT! I am currently looking like a raccoon with my dark under eyes and sleep deprivation

AND baby fights naps even harder than before!! And I am just bracing for when she starts teething… then comes the crawling and wanting to eat everything off the floor!! It does get better temporarily I guess. Just venting

My baby is on the 4th month sleep regression. Should I start sleep training now or wait?

My baby went from sleeping 10 hours straight to waking up 4-5 times a night literally from one day to the next. She’s on her 6th day of doing this. Im to the point of only getting -3 hours of sleep and I am sooo exhausted

She does not know how to settle on her own as she is a contact nap baby so sleep training will also help her (and me) get away from contact naps I hope.

Also, what method worked best for you?

-My baby is almost 20 weeks (4.5 months)
-Wake windows of 2-2.5 hours
-I also feed her as much as possible during the day to avoid night wakings (worked before, not anymore)
-Her nap schedule and daily routine hasn’t changed

Is the 4th month regression permanent?

My baby went from finally sleeping through the night to waking up at 3am and 6am to feed the past 5 days. I would otherwise be okay with it as I was expecting the regression anyway but Im sick with a bad cold so Im already super tired and weak.

I was just wondering if its temporary and will my baby possibly start sleeping through the night again?

How can I help my baby start sleeping with noise

I am having a hard time getting my baby away from needing contact naps and white noise during naps. When we are out of the house, my baby can go 3+ hours of no sleep because she just can’t fall asleep with noise. I would like to help get her used to no contact naps and noise for sleeping.

Can anyone share their methods or suggestions?

Baby is almost almost 5 months, not sleep trained, wake windows of 1.5 hours

My baby started sleeping through the night after I stopped swaddling

Just came here to say my baby used to sleep 3 hour stretches throughout the night but ever since I stopped swaddling, she’s sleeping 6-8 hour first stretch. But she moves and grunts like crazy while still sleeping. She still did this when she was swaddled but when does it stop??

Im grateful she’s sleeping through the night but her noises and movements won’t let me sleep. She moves aggressively and fake cries?? Like she will cry for like 2-5 seconds while sleeping which wakes me up all the time. When did your baby stop doing this? I really would like to sleep 6-8 hours with her

Can I go to a Tesla showroom to just look at a car

I live in a small town and not many Teslas around so I haven’t really had the chance to see one as much. I am 1.5 hours away from a big city that has many Tesla showrooms. Can I go and just look at a car to decide what color I want and model? I do not need to test drive nor even see the interior I just really want to look at the outside and different models/colors.

Can I go and see? Will they kick me out if I am looking around at the cars the have outside? Or do I talk to someone that works there and explain that I got approved and just want to look at the models to decide which I want

Edit: Leaning towards a Model 3.

Going to Houston Tesla showrooms. I got approved already just need to decide what I want

Thank you for those you weren’t mean about it. Like I said, I live in a small town and not many people to talk about Teslas with and when I called the Tesla place on the phone, they were dismissive and put me on hold then hung up

I ended up test driving a Model Y and Model 3 and decided to place an order for a Model Y. Thank you all for your help!

Should I switch from Opill to Slynd?

I have been on Opill for 2 months and I have been heavy spotting for a month and a half non stop including cramps on some days and lotttsss of bloating and constipation and acne.

My doctor is giving me the option to start Slynd but I dont know if the side effects would be the same. Right now my main problem is the spotting. Also Slynd has a higher grace window for a missed pill which sounds better.
