So I got a $20 gift card and I'm trying to spend exactly $20. I was trying to make my order exactly $20 including the authorization, and for my items, with a 9% tip of $2.29, my total was $19.10 and I'd be charged $19.67. But since im trying to make it exactly $20, I tried increasing the tip little by little until I got my amount. However, when increased it by just 1 cent, my total shot up to $19.82 and would be charged $20.41. Why is my total shooting up 72 cents just because I increased the tip my a penny????

I'm sorry, y'all, but I had no one else to talk to. I'm literally all alone and have no support system. This is gonna be a but lengthy.

For years i've been suffering debilitating periods. They've been getting worse and worse as the years have gone by, but I didn't go to the doctor for a few reasons.

1. Being my own support system, I never felt I had the time and could literally never take a day off due to my fears of not being able to pay my bills and facing eviction, or my lights cutting off. Any form of assistance here is obsolete.

2. I was stressing out about being able to get custody of my niece and felt that I didn't have time to go to the doctor.

3. The health insurance starts receiving from my job at the time was so trash, where even urgent care costs can be a hundred dollars out of pocket, and I had to pay $516 to get something removed out of my ear. So I didn't trust that something so serious as what i'm going through now would have been cheap, either. Adding on to this when I left my job, I got on governmental assistance to be able to get health insurance and services for free. Back in June, they set up an appointment for me. That isn't until september tenth, but then they pushed it back to september eighteenth, and again to september thirtieth, meeting that i've had to continue to suffer this pain immensely, it's four longer than I'd like to.

What that said, I was able to confirm that I have fibroids. My symptoms are deplorable. I've already gone through 4 size five pads, and it hasn't even been 48 hours that i've been on my period. My cramps are so severe that I'll start shaking due to the pain. Sometimes I even black out. It's so bad that I can't even talk, and sometimes even light and sound triggers me, So I have to literally cover my eyes and put an earplugs or play gentle loud to drown out anything else. Above all, I literally cannot eat for at least three days due to my fear of throwing up everything. And unfortunately, that's exactly what happened early this morning.

Since i'm carrying everything on my own, i've literally been holding the last three dollars of my bank account for a week. I managed to be able to get a $20 gift card

Through one of those gaming survey apps, but because I have no vehicle, and my instacart is acting up, I could only use the $20 gift card to buy myself something to eat on doordash since I couldn't buy any groceries. I ate my food around 10PM And I was feeling fine until 5AM, when my cramps kicked into maximum overdrive, causing me to throw up. Literally my last $20 down the toilet, just that fast, because of an issue that could have been resolved, had this world been much better to women. And to make matters worse, i'm out of period products, because I ran through my pad's quicker than intended, as I was trying to ration them out.

I was going to donate plasma today to grt money, as I always do twice a week, but I have naturally very low iron. Add on the fact that ive bleeding ridiculously heavy,being in so much pain and throwing up all the food that I ate to try to carry me over into my donation, I feel like trying to donate today isn't worth it.

I'm so freaking tired. We can have research on why men are bald and give wheelchairs to defective sperm, but not as to why women are suffering through rural tumors that stop them from living everyday life. And now im gonna be out a total of $160 because of it.

Hello everyone! I am 27 years old and I dont know how to drive! I always was an abusive and sheltering environment, but i'm trying to get through the basics of life on my own, and I would like to learn how to drive.

I would try to pick up driving a few times over the course of the past 4 years to know. Avail I would have liked to learn how to drive through somebody teaching me.But I don't know anybody with a car. I've definitely thought of going to driving school, but they're too expensive for me. I've tried even reading a driver's manual, but it's a little overwhelming for me and studying has never been my strong suit lol.

I was wondering, if anyone knows of a cheap tutor or driving school or someone or something that could help me hit the ground running in trying to learn her drive.And get my driver's license?? Thank you all for your help!!

So one of my favorite games, Dead By Daylight, recently had an anniversary event, and in this event, they teased a horror icon thats going to be added to the game.

This horror icon in particular, is Art the clown from Terrifier. As most of us probably know by now, Art and the Terrifier movies are heavily hated by women because how the movies are homages to slasher films, which are nothing but pretty women, especially oversexualized ones being completely brutalized for no reason at all.

Maybe i'm overreacting, but it really icks me out about having such a killer in the game. And yes, hes a killer, he fits the game, a out survivors and killers, exceptionally well. And I havent seen any of the terrifier movies after the first one (because if how uncomfortable and "shock value-y it was with no real scares), but there's a difference between the women getting killed and the men. Why did the women have to be naked before she was sawed in half upside down? A few of them even had their breasts cut off. You didnt see the dudes have their balls blown to smithereenies. And knowing that he is one of the most complained about characters in modern horror amongst women, who are known by now to make up half the gaming world, I think adding him in the game is a very bad look.

Idk if this is the right subreddit, but im frustrated.

I found out I need surgery. The healing will take at least 3 weeks. I live alone. Im struggling to make ends meet, always late on my rent, even had my electric cut off a few times. Ive had to reduce my work days from 10 to 8 at the most because of the pain. I literally cant afford to save money and ive worn down my body working 50+ hour weeks, even through the pain when I did work full time AND picked up extra shifts. I have no idea what to do, where to go from here. And I know I shouldn't, but im too embarrassed to start something on GFM or another crowdfunding service or anything. And my insurance will cover everything healthwise, its just being able to make sure my bills, my cats and myself are covered through this mess.

Has anyone been through something similar, and how did it turn out?? I just need stories to brace me for whats to come or give me some peace of mind.

Hello everyone!! Im a huge fan of Jamaican cuisine and of course, I love jerk chicken!!

When I lived in Chicago, I visited a Jamaican restaurant twice a week, and I was in love with the jerk sauce they served with their chicken on the side for dipping or pouring. If I remember correctly, it was a light brown color and a bit of a watery consistency that was the perfect balance of spicy, salty, with a light hint of spice from pepper and perhaps cloves or allspice. It was immaculate!!

Fast forward 6 years later, and I've been living in a different state. However, the jerk chicken here is served with what I can say is a spicy barbecue sauce and not at all like the jerk sauce I was accomstumed too, made worse because I do not like barbecue sauce.

Everyone that ive spoken to about it seems to have no idea what im talking about, except for one woman I used to work with who was Jamaican, and in us talking about food and I mentioned how the sauce was that I used to have, she agreed and said that is the correct sauce and not the spicy barbecue sauce. And yet, when I look up jerk sauce of any kind, I either get the usual walkerswood marinade or the barbecue sauce. Im sure someone here knows what I talking about???

Do you guys remember on old neopets back in the 2000s When you would click the description of the neopet and they would have like a full a few second long video that looped of the selected neopet just being in their environment??? like it would show a bunch of kikos swimming or a bunch of kaus grazing. I don't remember many except the Chia. I just remember a whole bunch of chias dancing together in some sort of forest area with an intense drum beat and it used to be the funniest thing to my sister and I. Tell me im not the only one that remembers lol. I remember I could never find them after the improvement of the website and now theyre completely gone im sure with the ending of flash. Anybody know if there's a place where all those little videos can still be watched? Or if they're gone forever because I'd love to go through and watch every single one of them again!

Okay so I dont have IBS but for the past 3 days I have had the most painful, unbearable gas pain that is so bad I can't even sleep. Ive tried everything: heating pad, long soak in Epsom salt, different positions like squatting, holding one knee up to my chest, downward dog, etc., intaking more fiber, drinking a lot of hot water, drinking peppermint and ginger tea, taking 2 maximum strength gas-x pills, a vibrating plate, walking AND running on a treadmill, going on a hour long walk in general, dancing drinking a magnesium citrate drink, taking magnesium citrate gummies, and some other things I can't think of and NOTHING HAS WORKEDDDDD. What can I do to grt rid of this pain, I literally can't do anything because of it!!!!
