I tought i would be well prepared and right now i am confused as hell 💔

Ok, so I am in 12th grade right now. I decided back in 9th grade that I would study in Germany, so I started researching it and had everything figured out. I even had a roadmap pinned up and had started shortlisting universities with the program I wanted (Bachelor's in Mechatronics). I had every single thing figured out, language, timeline, application process, visa process, etc. I had even started networking with people currently in Germany in the field I see myself in in the future, noted down all the resources with which I can look for housing at least 6 months before arrival, and looked into all the laws and legislation I should be aware of.

I planned that I would start learning German in 11th grade, since 10th grade was too busy and I barely had time to focus on the language. I thought about finishing up to A2 level in 11th grade and then reaching B2 or at least B1 during my 12th grade summer holidays.

Now, to be honest, I did finish A2 in 11th, but right now my 12th grade summer holidays will be over within one week, and I was not able to complete B1. I know most people would think I have enough time after 12th and yes, maybe I do but I wanted to finish C1 after 12th so that before leaving for the country to take my Aufnahmeprüfung (ANP), I would have C1 German. That way, during my Studienkolleg, I could improve it further, and by the time I start my Bachelor's degree (which will mostly be in German), I won't have any trouble in classes.

Right now, I am caught between two choices and looking for some real advice:

  • Take a gap year after 12th, lock in and reach C1 German, and work on some of my robotics projects (Future robotics engineer 🤞). Since I will finish 12th grade only at 17, this gap year also means I will turn 18 before moving to Germany, which fixes the nightmare of signing housing contracts and opening bank accounts as a minor. I would head to Germany in 2028.
  • Complete my undergrad in India starting in 2027 and go to Germany for my Master's instead, like my parents prefer. But I am not really interested in going to a Tier 3 or Tier 4 private university in India.

The main things stressing me out about going straight for my Bachelor's are the Reddit posts about the current job market, spending my parents' hard-earned money only to end up jobless, and the global political climate around immigration.

So my main question is: For anyone studying or working in STEM in Germany right now, is taking that dedicated gap year to lock in and reach C1 and build solid robotics projects a smart play for long-term career prospects, or is playing it safe with an Indian undergrad + German Master's a better move in today's market?

Help with this error...

Alright i had made a post previously on this, and i feel i didnt give adequate information to you all to help me. So i tought ill make a clear post on the error.

So this is the Error i am facing:

https://preview.redd.it/cu6djyl5kzih1.png?width=1366&format=png&auto=webp&s=69e32e2f5bf585f2e977af334bcbd4af627eafc3

I did all of these, but still same error. IK its not like my board is not broken right or its a problem of my usb cable or the port because, i had gotten this in my serial monitor:

ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,6)

And if i am right boot mode:(3,6)

is physical proof from the esp8266 cpu itself that:

  • USB chip is successfully sending power and serial data
  • internal flash memory already has my code uploaded.
  • CPU is booted up and running my program

So right now what i think the problem is that the serial monitor is locking the port, and i not really know the right way to fix this. If Anyone knows Please Let me know.

This is the hardware connections:

Can someone help me with this error am facing right now?

Its for a high school project, a smart laser security system.

Idk why am always having this error, i tried everything and it still shows this.

Sorry for the code being AI generated, its my first time ever doing such a project...

CODE:

// --- Pin Definitions ---
const int LDR_ANALOG_PIN  = A0; // Analog light reading (A0)
const int BUZZER_PIN      = 12; // Active Alarm Buzzer (GPIO12 / D6)
const int LED_GREEN       = 5;  // System Armed Indicator (GPIO5 / D1)
const int LED_RED         = 4;  // Interruption Indicator (GPIO4 / D2)
const int ROOM_LIGHTS_PIN = 0;  // Transistor Base (GPIO0 / D3)
// Initial threshold estimate (we will adjust this after checking readings)
int lightThreshold = 500;
void setup() {
  Serial.begin(115200);
  pinMode(BUZZER_PIN, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(LED_GREEN, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(LED_RED, OUTPUT);
  pinMode(ROOM_LIGHTS_PIN, OUTPUT);
  // Set initial state
  digitalWrite(BUZZER_PIN, LOW);
  digitalWrite(LED_GREEN, HIGH);
  digitalWrite(LED_RED, LOW);
  digitalWrite(ROOM_LIGHTS_PIN, LOW);
  Serial.println("\n==========================================");
  Serial.println("  Smart Laser Tripwire System Initialized ");
  Serial.println("==========================================");
}
void loop() {
  int ldrValue = analogRead(LDR_ANALOG_PIN);
  Serial.print("LDR Raw Value: ");
  Serial.println(ldrValue);
  // Logic check: if light level changes significantly
  if (ldrValue > lightThreshold) {
// Laser beam broken (Darker / Tripped)
digitalWrite(LED_GREEN, LOW);

This is what i have planned to do with my life.

Hi, I am right now in 12th grade in Kuwait under a CBSE school. Though I am an Indian, I grew up my entire life here in Kuwait. So, next year I would be over with my high school and I have made my career plan. To be honest, I started planning everything 3 years ago. I had decided I would become a robotics engineer since 5th grade; I always loved working with electronics. I really fell in love with it when my father bought me my first-ever electronics kit, to be specific, an Arduino Uno kit. I made a lot of cool projects with it, and since I didn't have the enough supply of parts, I would break up the last project I made and reuse its parts to make a new one. I always felt passionate about it and was always proud about how I had made my decision about my career this early in life. By 9th grade, I looked into more specific details about how the economy is moving and how the demand would be for a robotics engineer, and it was positive. Then I looked into the best places to study this field. Since I am from India, I do have the option to go back to India and study there, but tbh I am really not into it. As India is one of the worst places to study engineering right now, unless you do it from IITs, NITs, or other big government universities where the competition is mad high, it's just a rat race. And since I already dreamed about continuing my studies abroad, I looked more into the options and made up my mind on Germany at that time, since it had well-known universities and is known as one of the biggest robotics industries. I made the decision that I would be studying in Germany in 9th grade, and I researched and collected every bit of information I would need to know about it. I also had started learning German during the summer holidays and I am currently at B1 level. But sadly, let's just say Germany's economy just became worse when my time came. It's just frustrating to see this, how big the anti-immigrant sentiments have risen. But I honestly believe I can make it.

By now, I have been also reconsidering my desired field as I know that a robotics engineering job is mostly just software and the design part, and how it could also be "replaced by AI." I am now concerned about electrical and renewable energy engineering. I am planning to do a bachelor's in electrical and renewable energy engineering in Germany; I would be starting my bachelor's most probably by 2028.

I know no one can predict how the future would be, but I believe that this field would definitely be alive. Right now, I am doing more research into how the field is developing and studying about it. And I think this would definitely fit me, as this mostly consists of electrical engineering, which is something I am into. I also believe that with the right planning and execution, I could land a job after my studies even in an economy like this.
