A few days ago, I stupidly started a torrent download for a popular game (FitGirl Repack / Capcom title) using qBittorrent without a VPN. The download was active for about 1.5 hours before I realized the legal risks involved with P2P upload/seeding in Germany. The Game finished installing
Afte releasing the legal troubles I deleted all associated files from my PC.
Key Details:
The internet connection is registered under my mother’s name (she receives Bürgergeld / social welfare).
No legal letters have arrived so far (the incident happened very recently).
I am aware that monitoring firms aggressively scan torrent swarms for major titles and that initial settlement demands (Abmahnungen) usually range between €800 and €1,500+.
I also know about Beratungshilfe (legal aid voucher via the local court) for low-income households in case a letter actually arrives.
My Questions:

1. Has anyone here (or someone you know) actually received an Abmahnung for a short download period (~1 to 2 hours) on a major game title?
2. How long did it take for the letter to arrive after the incident?
3. Have any of you gotten lucky and received nothing after a brief mistake like this? Please I need help regarding my situation..

I used to download from it in the past, movies, tv shows and it went smoothly. But recently I have been having problems. I tried to download a movie yesterday, it got stuck at 0%. I tried two or three diffrent torrents, also stuck on 0%. I tried 1337 for that movie, the torrent worked fine.

Today I tried to get an episode of a show, also download is stuck at 0 percent. Tried to change the torrents, diffrent torrents, again gets stuck at 0 percent. Tried to get that episode at 1337, again. Stuck at 0 percent. I went back to piratebay, went down the list of torrents one by one, hoping to find at least one that works. I got one. It actually started, but it was weird. It would get to 2 percent, then get stuck at 2.2. Then kept going, 3, 4, got stuck at 5. Then keep going again. ATM its stuck at 96 and I dont think its gonna keep going.

Why is this happening? Did anyone else experience this? Should I go to a diffrent site? How do I fix this? Would it help if I use VPN?

Is one site better than others for downloading music?

So I'm looking into torrenting and I downloaded qBittorrent and looked into sites, but I noticed how massive the files are. Is there anyway I can get them smaller before downloading them into qBittorrent?

I am not entirely confident that I understand what I'm supposed to be doing so I am just trying to read and understand before I start experimenting and downloading actual media.

Bonjour ! Je suis face à un soucis que je n'avais jamais rencontré jusqu'à maintenant. Quand je télécharge un torrent, il ne se lance pas et reste bloqué sur "stalled" alors même que :

-Il y a des seeders

-Ca marchait il y a une semaine

-Ma connexion est bonne, avec ou sans VPN

-J'ai la dernière version de qbittorrent

J'utilise Nord VPN si jamais. J'ai beau essayé de forcer le téléchargement, ou trouver un autre torrent, ça me fait la même chose avec tous. Ce problème à aussi lieu sur les autres applications de torrent.

Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une solution ?

I've been downloading a show with a really small number of seeders, talking about just 1 to 3.

I've downloaded most of the episodes, but one is stuck at 99%. Every now and again a single seeder connects, my software downloads at a very low speed, 8.19 kb/s, for just a few seconds three or four times. Then nothing else for another hour or so.

Two other episodes are stuck at 50 - 70%, but I suppose that's just due to the small number of seeders. The remaining episodes all downloadd completely.

What's going on here? It's really puzzling.

I didn't seek an invitation until now as I wasn't sure I could seed files efficiently on my main pc.

I finally finished my homelab torrenting setup which allows me to torrent and seed files 24/7. I've been testing it for the past few weeks on public trackers and it all works fine, so I'm good to follow seeding and ratio rules.

I'd really appreciate any help with this.

My internet service provider doesn't support torrent so I use these telegram channels to leech my torrent and magnet links then have it sent to my pm but most files are larger than 4gb (maximum file size on telegram) so I need to mirror these files to goolgle drive which I cant figure out.

Bottom line I need anyone how knows how to use these groups to mirror files

People say use EXT to but when i tried I got a pop up and when i clicked close ad it downloaded a file to my pc. Is EXT safe?

Hey everyone, I've been trying to get a zip file to a friend that is around 10GB without using google drive or a random online tool since they tend to not work, or they paywall either speed or capacity. I thought that the best way might be to just torrent it to him since it is Peer to Peer (as far as I know). So, I looked through some suggestions on reddit on how to make a private torrent file and made the private torrent with Transmission and PrivTracker to generate the tracker link. Well, now that I had created my torrents on Transmission and my friend opened the magnet link through qBittorrent, it's stuck at 0% and Transmission shows 0 Peers even if he has the file.
As you can probably read, I'm not knowledgeable fully about how to go about making my own torrents to transfer peer to peer. If anyone has an alternative solution, I'm all ears, but I'd like to try this approach for now. As for what's in the files, they're drawing courses I wanted to send over to him, but both are 10+GB big.

Is there any application or website to stream any type of media/torrent with just url link/magnet_links
