No spoilers please! I havent finished the game yet!

I opened that big door in Sansa Keep. I went there after I got the bounce off objects/enemies upgrade from Underbelly and the 4xkick off walls upgrade. Out of other upgrades I got the greaves (obviously, the 4x wall kick off wouldnt work without them), the long jump, the high jump, and strikebreak. I thought this is where you are supposed to go, you know, to progress the story, for the main quest etc. I thought wherever the black orbs are is where youre supposed to go. I checked out the black orbs in the Underbelly, the black orb in the Dilapidated Dungeon. They lead nowhere, so I figured the black orb path in Sansa Keep is where I am supposed to go. The main storyline. I learned the hard way that I was wrong. I died a bunch of times, and when I finally looped back to the main corridor, I opened the big door. Imagine my shock when I realized its not the way forward, its just one of those five big gold keys that opens the big door. Something tells me I wasn't supposed to complete this yet. I am 99% I am missing an upgrade I am supposed to have for this section.

The platforming in that section, with the upgrades that I do have atm was... how do I say it nicely? Oh yeah. Insane. I thought i hit a difficulty spike. So far the platforming was challenging but not hard. It wasnt nerve wracking. I got destroyed so many times... Figured I timed the jumps perfectly, and still died... I literally started sweating... Thinking, WTF is going on with this game... only to realize I was doing a sidequest and I wasnt supposed to even be here. All those times I fell into the purple ooze and got desintegrated. For nothing.

Anyway, I got the key.

Anyway, I figured out the Theatre is where you are supposed to go next. I am there now.

Could a story where the protagonist is a new vampire who magically turns evil, and you experience the story from their point of view "work"?

I, personally, love vampires because I am intrigued by the idea of being turned into an evil monster. It is super scary, but also super interesting. Makes me wonder: OK, how does this evil transformation work? Obviously, you get the thirst for blood. But the way I see it, unless this thirst is really strong, it doesn't necessarily make you evil. And in a lot of stories, they arent evil just because they drink blood. Do you lose your conscience? Maybe you have a meta awareness. You eat some random bystander, and you know you should feel bad about it, and in the past you would have felt bad about it, but you just... dont. Maybe you turn sadistic, and your thirst for blood is both literal and metaphorical. I think how it works in most stories is, you are under the power of your master, and since he is evil, you are also evil. OK, but what kind of relationship is this? It is magical/supernatural, but can it be modeled after a similar "evil" relationships that exist in real life? Is it like a cult? Do you experience him as a new, unnatural parent/step parent? Is it brainwashing where your old values and sense of right and wrong is eroded, broken down, and replaced by the master's? Is it like a toxic romantic relationship, where he gaslights you into thinking evil is good? So many fun ideas to explore and create, but the writers rarely explore them.

Most of the time, e.g. in the old school Hammer films, and in trashy horror films a character is turned, then they are evil and they have to be destroyed and thats all there is to it. OK, thats all well and good but what makes them evil? What makes them tick? Do they feel they have to do evil? Do they enjoy it? We arent gonna think about it, and we wont let the audience think about it. They are evil now, the hero has to destroy them, and thats all there is to it, OK?

A character can have their own POV, reasons, motivations, but if they get turned, they lose their POV, and the writer wont get into how their reasons change, or motivations change. They only apear through the POV of another good guy character, who now has to stake them, because they are pure evil, and its very sad, etc... I apologise if I sound like a douchebag, don't get me wrong, scenes like this can be very powerful, very scary, amazing, etc. and I do enjoy them myself. But I feel like I have seen them a million times. Can we, please, on ocassion, do something else with a turned character?

It seems to me, in these stories, the turning is a cheap way to transform a good character into an evil monster and scare the audience without having to give the character any real reason or motivation.

I personally hate when they make it that the turned person is actually dead, and the body is simply possesed by a demon. Like, it kills everything I found interesting about vampires in the first place. Its not really a transformation then, is it? You weren't turned into a vampire, you were replaced by one. Basically no diffrent than an evil twin/evil clone.

Lets take, for example, Salem's Lot. I wont get into the plot, I am guessing we are all more-or-less familiar with it. Would that story work, if it was told from the perspective of one of the people that Barlow turned? Where the vampire rationalizes or maybe wonders to himself why they are following or obeying Barlow? Do they want to obey him? Do they have to obey him? Do they still understand the diffrence between good and evil? Do they think Barlow is actually good, and the people resisting him are evil? Or does Salems Lot work because you cant understand the turned? And you cant relate to them, nor comprehend them anymore? Because that is what makes them scary?

On the other "end of the spectrum" so to speak you have more modern stories, where they arent evil by default, such as Interview with the Vampire, Twilight, True Blood, TVD, I think Forever Knight. The vampire can even be the hero now. It is an interesting change of pace. But to me, personally, if there is no evil transformation involved, it is not as interesting. TVD does have a couple of interesting moments where Stefan, Damon and other good vamps, every once in a while turn off their humanity and become evil.

I think in Interview with the Vampire Louis does change and become corrupted, but it happens slowly, over centuries they spend together. In and of itself, Louis's evil transformation is not supernatural.

I was hoping for something that has the typical, old school evil transformation, but its done to the main character, and this transformation is explored, we see the turned character's point of view, how and why it makes him evil, and the writer does something fun with it.

A movie that I loved and got very close to this, I think, is The Lost Boys. Michael is the hero of the movie, and he is slowly turning. He doesn't become evil, but he is strongly tempted by David to give in, go on a rampage, and become, well... lost. You can feel everything Michael is feeling. The vampires are pure evil, but you can totally see why it is awesome to become one.

Disclaimer: I know of some movies (which I wont name) where the hero spends the entire story fighting the vampires, and in the end the final twist/scare is that the hero has been infected and turned into one. That is not what I am talking about, or looking for. Because again, it is an example of "This character, who we know and love is now one of the evil, scary monsters we cannot relate to nor comprehend." They no longer have a POV.

I am guessing a movie, or a book like this probably exists, but I am not aware of it.

Are there any open world games for PC that that don't rely on markers, that guide you to the main quest, side quests, collectibles etc. with hints, clues, talking to the NPC-s etc.?

I am in the mood for an open world game. I know markers on the map are supposed to help you find the stuff you need, or want to find, but I want something I can explore. Lets be real, if you have markers, you will beeline to one marker, then beeline to another marker, then another... that absolutely can be fun. But that's not exploration. You aren't really immersing yourself in the game world, getting to know it, trying to figure the world out, trying to figure out which pathway leads where, which areas you checked out, which areas are just a wasteland, which areas are worth checking out, which areas you already checked out etc. Not sure if I am even asking for a game that actually exists?

I was hoping for something where the makers of the game decided "OK, instead of cluttering the map with markers, lets make the player figure out where the main quest, side quests, collectibles etc. are by talking to the NPC, finding hints, or clues that can lead him to the stuff, or lead him to more valuable hints and clues, maybe giving him some journal where the useful information you find is written down."

I recently finished Outer Wilds, loved that game. You dont really have collectibles or side quests in OT, but you do have a bunch of messages hidden all over the game world. And you can find these messages by talking to the NPCs, and they will lead you to more secret messages, or you can travel to the planets, and each planet has a building, or a structure that stands out in some way, and you can check these structures out and find more of these messages. It's a big, massive world, but my exploration of it never felt like finding a needle in a haystack, because if you follow common sense, you will find everything you need to find in a fun, rewarding way. I was hoping for an open world game with a similar concept. In OW you do have a marker for the map, but you have to "earn" it, in a way. And you can only use one marker at a time on the map. Tho I am not sure if that is a custom pin then, and not a marker?

I use PC for gaming, so its gonna have to be a PC game. Legend of Zelda games, I think, are what I am looking for, but as far as I know they are Nintendo exclusives. So, I cannot play that.

Friend said she wants to buy Outer Wilds, but is too afraid she will get stuck, not know what to do and just give up on the game, how can I encourage her?

She said she is interested, but she read online reviews from other people who got stuck playing the game on some puzzle and gave up on OW entirely. She is afraid she isnt smart enough, and it will turn into a waste of money.

I would like to encourage her if we meet again. Are there any tips/hints I can give her that are not spoilers?

Maybe I can tell her that on each planet she can start by checking out the north and south pole and checking out the equator? Is that a spoiler? Or do you guys think that would be fair?

Or maybe to just talk to everyone in the village, and she can talk to them again?

Could I tell her to just use the signalscope?

Or tell her on each planet there is one astronaut, they will tell you what to do?

Tell her to just check the Ship Log?

I cant open the subreddit called r/drag from my other account called BluePrincess2000. How to fix it? Problem is on my Samsung android.

My main account is TheSlavGuy1000. I have an another account on Reddit called BluePrincess2000. I use that account to post my drag/femme stuff, or to ask around how to be better at drag. I tried to open from there, but I get the message:

Let's try that again.

Sorry about that. There was an error loading content.

Try again.

And it keeps happening over, and over, and over again. I turned off my phone but it doesnt help. I am starting to thing I may have to log off from this and that account then log in, which I dont want to, because I forgot my passwords.

Did anyone else experience something like this? How do you fix this?

In Three, did anyone get this glitch where some of the enemies wont get tagged when you use Enhanced Perception?

I finished the story, and I am clearing the last outpost (its on the second Island, to the south-west, cant remember exactly the name) and I used the Enhanced Perception to tag the enemies. For some reason, some enemies wont get tagged, and I cant keep track of them. Which is really annoying because I like to take Outpost stealthily.

I am a bit of a perfectionist, so if I get spotted by the enemies and they start running around I just restart. Tho I probably still could take them out.

So I am in the middle of taking them all out, everything is going smoothly, I turned off the alarm... but one of the guards that wasnt tagged, so I couldnt keep track of him and know where he is spotted me, and you know what happens then, they start running around, its harder to shoot them down, cant sneak up on them or use takedowns, yada yada yada... I restarted the computer, but it STILL keeps happening!😡😡😡 Still, some of the guards in the outpost randomly dont get tagged and dont show up even when EP is active!

Pisses me off so much.

Dont get me wrong, I got all the syringes, all the weapons, all the attachments, I can still figure it out how to take the outpost without being spotted. Or I can say, screw it, use the Untouchable, or Touch of death, equip the Ripper, throw stealth to the wind and just start blasting.

I just wanna know if anyone else experienced this nonsense.

I had a dream I was watching a weird, messed up movie.

I had awareness it was not real, so it was not a case of feeling something weird and scary actually happening to you or around you. Similar to when you randomly turn on the TV and you cut in the middle of a movie, and you have no idea what is happening or why.

There were more things happening before in the dream, but I remember the last part. It is in the White house, and there was the actor who played Johnny Quid in RocknRolla, I have no idea how he ended up in my dream (didnt even know his name, had to look him up, it is Toby Kebbell), I dont even watch his movies, guess he just has a memorable face. So, Johnny Quid from RocknRolla is scared, he has a big gun (I think it is called the M4?) and he was shooting at a monster that looked like a human, I think like a woman, or a little girl.

The monster was, obviously, invincible, because in a movie guns never work, etc. It had holes in the chest from bullets, but they werent really hurting the monster or bothering it or anything. The funny thing is, the monster wasnt attacking Johnny Quid, or moving towards him, or anything. It just roared at him. I think it was rooted to the ground, or the wall, like a plant.

But in the next shot of the movie you had more of these human looking monsters who could move freely, they were in a city, or a street, they would move slowly, get close to people, touch them, and anyone they touched would dry out, turn into a mummy, I think, turn to dust and crumble. And the monsters werent rushing or charging at people, they were doing it very slowly and casually. The people werent reacting to these monsters killing them, at all, so I thought, oh the monsters must be invisible, but no. It turns out, the monsters have mind control, and they are controlling these people, so none of them can escape. So, everybody on on this street was slowly picked off by these beings, one by one, and could do nothing about it. I am not sure if the beings killed all of them or had mercy and let some go. And it didnt feel like a typical monster movie, but like a biblical punishment (even tho the movie is set in the modern day). Similar feeling to one of the Ten Plagues of Egypt.

I thought to myself "Man, this is a messed up movie, whoever came up with this must be a psycho, something must be wrong with him.", which is ironic, because it turns out it is my dream.

Just felt like putting this dream here and sharing it.
