what are your best tips for beginners on making wefts?

Im definitely learning but sometimes the videos dont give enough information! or sometimes people get so good at doing something and do it so often they forget what is truly basic information because its like muscle memory for them. what are some tips for making wefts?? favorite glue, how much hair you use in each weft, what type of surface to do it on, tools to use, etc! (ive been using uhu glue and it just will not soak through all the way even if i put it on both sides lol)

is there a way i could temporarily fasten these pieces?

hi!! i have this corset that i love because it shapes me well. i also bought this pink dress/top and the top doesnt stay in place on top of the corset as well as it doesnt fully tighten on the waist because the waist is smaller on the corset than the top.

is there a way i could fasten the top onto the corset without having to sew it on? im scared of sewing it on because i dont want to only use this corset for this top and would like to be able to remove the top after the con is over.

i have it pinned exactly how i would like it now. i could hand stitch and then carefully remove the stitches after?? im not sure please i need advice!

requests for a wig shape

Hi! i will provide the photos as well. to give a description, i would like to have a 3d model i can print using my bambu lab a1 at home. i tried making it with wire and it was a mess so i think a print will give me the smoother finish i am looking for!

it would have to be a massive print with multiple parts. as the pigtails would have to be around 53 inches tall…

i would like to be able to detach the pigtails, would it be possible to add a female square shape at the point that attaches to the head? that way i can print a male piece to attach to the head. i know its confusing so let me know if it is possible or not :)

i would also like to keep it hollow and thin, i will be putting support inside the bubble part to make sure it doesnt break like legos but keeping it thin will help keep it light.

budget: happy to negotiate and talk about a budget, of course this is fairly large so im fine with talking and seeing if this is too expensive. im unsure what the scale is for pricing but im happy to talk more about it. please let me know what you would want your price to be if you are interested!

dimensions: the pigtails from top to bottom would be around 53 inches tall and 21 inches wide at the widest point.

how could i reinforce this part?

any ideas on how i could reinforce the detachable wig base to the wire and sticks surrounding it? right now its a good solid hold but i still have to add a lot to it with length and width and then im using felt and saturating it with glue to have a sturdy base to lay hair on. so definitely going to get heavier and im thinking hot glue might not hold lol. of course im gonna have more wire and stuff wrapped around it but does anyone have any suggestions for a better hold?

please help me find information about these beautiful clocks!

So my moms aunt recently passed. She was an eccentric lady with great taste! my mom knows i love vintage and antiques so she grabbed a couple things she knew i would cherish. I tried using google lense to look this up and i was able to find the style but i couldnt find any that looked like them. are these older styles of clocks more like single set pieces? if anyone can help me understand them i would appreciate it immensely! thank you!

how in the hell do people measure pieces for big wigs?

Hi!! i’m going all out and making a helmet wig for Nui.

I wanted to ask if anyone had any advice on how to measure out pieces for the pigtails? like i see videos of people having well measured pieces of fabric or materials that they cut out but i have no clue how they get it all to look so good.

so far i’ve been measuring photos of her hair and then upscaling it but i thought i would ask before cutting anything in case there is a better method. thank u!!

ohh or if anyone knows a good site for 3d modeling that i could see a pigtails in 3d because everyphoto i find of her hair is slightly different lol

I need more humanoid monster books please!! so far ive read Troll (currently reading actually but i can only find it in korean), and also Trapped in a Dungeon with the boss (i cant remember the full title but thats close enough) and omg they are so good please if anyone has any recs i will take them!!

also i wanna throw in my own rec!! its on wattpad but the author also sells copies on amazon. tbh everything ive read from this author has been amazing but I love this series in particular! its a cannibal humanoid monster and he is 100% red-black flag. hesitant on that black flag cause the more books i read the more i realize he was actually a better guy than i thought compared to some of these feaky mfs<3 . anyways check out their books they’re rlly great and ive wanted to make a post recommending them for a while! love this subreddit too yall are the sweetest and most accepting ppl lol. ok thank u bye!
