Pepper's Back at it With the Water
This little potato of pure energy is obsessed with water.

I spend hours and hours trying to make a website accessible to at least WCAG 2.2AA using manual review and paid tools like Axe Pro. Being curious, I ran Apple's website through Axe and it has tons of issues.
For the accessibility experts out there for websites, how do you even know for sure your site is accessible? I would imagine that someone as large as Apple would have already been hit with a million lawsuits for accessibility, yet their site lights up like a Christmas tree on even a rudimentary scan.
I'm no expert, but I want to understand and try to build websites that are accessible as best I can, but get so confused over the discrepancies between sites - especially big players like Apple. How can Apple's website be truly accessible?
Someone in the comments of the last post of Pepper asked for another photo... here is one more. This little girl is obsessed with the leaf blower. I can't work in the backyard without her attacking it. So, my wife decided to record her on the deck. What I find so funny is the way she throws her little paw back in the air. You just want to pinch her.
We've used to having dachshunds, and of course with those little wieners we have to be careful about jumping, etc. Any advice for a new Frenchie (Frug) owner? So far, we've found they are full of attitude and hysterical. She definitely lives up to her name!
Meet Pepper. She's a Frug (Frenchie Pug Mix), but I think she's more Frenchie than pug... especially her personality. I've always been a Dachshund lover, but these French Bulldogs have the most entertaining personalities!
She's also got her own YT channel.
Trying to make websites as accessible as possible, but honestly it can get so confusing. I've learned that those overlay apps like Userway are apparently a waste of time and can even make accessibility worse. I mainly use WordPress, but also develop custom sites without any content management systems. What I want to do is make the code/design accessible and not rely on some overlay script like Userway. (I also am turned off the way Userway tries to scare people into using their products.)
My workflow currently:
Test with WAVE and Axe on each page.
Load the site on my iPhone and use VoiceOver to navigate and test.
Manual testing by tabbing through the site using only the keyboard.
Encourage accessibility statements on websites.
I am a Mac user, but wondering...
Should I also test with NVDA?
What other recommendations does anyone have for my testing strategies?
And... is my current strategy pretty good for catching the major issues with accessibility?
I appreciate everyones time and feedback.
UPDATE: Mea culpa... I migrated an older site to 5, and if you build a new header the mobile nav loses that old "select page..." dropdown (which did not work in Voiceover) and now uses a menu that is accessible. So... it works, but wondering why the upgrade/migration didn't replace/fix that.
DIVI 4 has horrible built-in accessibility coding. I expected DIVI 5 to do better, but if you use the standard mobile menu that comes with DIVI, VoiceOver in iOS cannot even access the menu at all. Anyone have any fixes for this behavior? I'm kinda surprised that accessibility standards are so overlooked in this latest version of Divi.
Ok - I am trying to expand my horizon and use LogicPro on my iPad. Trouble is I use Synthogy's Ivory Grand for a lot of my recording (classical pianist) and the only thing I can find is the Korg Module app for iPad (which is sweet!) and has the Ivory Grand pack. I'm just dead set on Ivory since IMHO it has the best piano sounds out there - very realistic.
I love the portability of the iPad to record, etc., but here is where I am running into some trouble. I save the Logic Pro files as packages as the directions say, but when I open them on my mac, I of course get the "Korg Module Can't be Found". I looked to see if there was a MacOS version of the module, but can't seem to find it. I really want to be able to move back and forth between my MacStudio to do some serious editing and the iPad for portability - maybe I am missing something, but it doesn't seem to be going to play well unless I use the stock Logic samples, etc. Any advice?
