Large Glass Recycling

Just bought a house and have large glass shower doors that need to go. Does anyone know where I can take these? Does the Saturday dump site up on Powerline take it? It doesn’t say no to glass but it also doesn’t list it in items they take. Thank you.

Make It Make Sense - ATC Delays

Just wanted to share this as another round of cancellations for all airlines roll in this evening. A current radar image.

Boston to New York City flights are running 3 hour ATC delays for weather.

So when you want to be mad at the airlines; this is what they’re all contending with. Or you want to say how nice the weather is: here’s a prime example of how short staffed and bad the GOVERNMENT Air Traffic Control system currently is. Two cities that are hours away from the weather are affected because ATC just shuts down. Everyone is frustrated.

Inherited Rachio System

Hello all, just bought a house with an irrigation system controlled by a Rachio smart controller.

Thought we were crazy as we ran it manually from the box before the house got internet as the numbers varied by day to which section it controlled.

Fast forward to getting WiFi. I ran the controller for each section and labeled them. As it did before, it’s like the zones rotate. So zone 1 is one area one day and it’s zone 3 the next.

Any insight? Our first irrigation system and it’s perplexing us. Thank you.

West Elm Lighting

Maybe this is well known and we’re just figuring this out.

We’ve bought a hanging light fixture for our bathroom. We first saw it on West Elm. We then found the exact same fixture on Ferguson for $200 less.

Fast forward a couple weeks later and found a beautiful table lamp, $150 for our entryway. We get the lamp, open up the box to find it inside the original manufacturers box so I google it. Kohls is selling the same lamp for $62. Thought that was bold of them.

We love the Mid Century pieces that West Elm sells, has anyone found this with any other products or is it really limited to lighting? We’ve looked at furniture, but only find it across their brands.

Paint Quality

Moving into a new house that is all the dreaded Agreeable Grey and whatever other neutral they decided to go with.

Going to have the house painted where we’ll provide the materials, but have a question on paint quality.

The high end paints at Lowe’s and Home Depot run about $70 a gallon. That’s fine. Then I go look at a Sherwin Williams store and theirs are $101 to $150 a gallon.

Is the price difference truly worth it? Thanks for your input and advice.
