People need to stop basing their opinions about general gameplay on Pro tier lists.

People need to stop basing their opinions about general gameplay on Pro tier lists.

Pro tier lists are ranking characters according to how they fair on an organized team of players who practice together and have active team-coordination in game via communication and strategies/responses.

The games that 99% of you play are solo queue games. You jump into ranked or QP, maybe even with a stack of friends, and you play. Probably the whole team is not on mic, there's limited communication, and absolutely no-preplanning or strategizing, just trying to make it work with the players you have together in the queue. You are not coordinated and are attempting to put together coordination on the fly to enable your team mates as best as possible.

This is why, if you play Squirrel Girl, go ahead and play Squirrel Girl unless you're getting hard countered or something. Just because the pros rate her as F tier, that really doesn't affect you in the slightest and people claiming any character that is F tier on the Pro tier lists is a throw pick or unplayable in their QP or Gold matches is just a bot forming opinions on information they don't even understand. SG for example is F tier in Pro because they can aim and coordinate so get much better value with other Poke DPS while easily just shooting her from afar.

On the other side, just because you see Wolverine or Captain America ranked as an S tier Pro level character, doesn't mean you're gonna just pick them up and dominate. These characters specifically are extremely good because they are excellent with team coordination. If you try to play solo queue Wolverine in your ranked matches and your team doesn't shoot who you grab or heal you when you pick a tank, you're gonna get roasted. Likewise if you can't coordinate your pressure with Cap according to your team's flowing situation, you're gonna be more like an A tier or B tier tank on your team.

This is becoming a relevant divide because a whole lot of people are claiming that Dino being S tier by Pro estimations means that they can't possibly just easily counter him at their casual level. Dino is excellent at Pro level because Pros are specifically orienting their team comps and strategies around any exploit they can find in the game together to play around. You are just being run down by a Dino because your positioning is bad and you're trying to 1v1 a Brawl tank as Mag.

tl;dr - The tier lists you people are claiming as Bible are often barely relevant to your gameplay experience. Play who you want and don't argue about non-Pro play based on Pro lists. Characters that Pros say are "broken" at their level are not at your level.

Dino is a sick team mate and opponent.

I dunno if I've ever had more fun than Dino on my team, because for the first time it feels like Brawl is full on playable for Wolv. He creates so much visual clutter, so much distraction stomping around, I almost just get to run free reign on enemies.

When he's on the other side, I get to just wait until he used his grab on somebody else and then jump him for a free kill. With my companion poke DPS he just folds immediately.

I'm always at 100% Rage, and I've never gone so unopposed with basically constant brawling especially on many smaller chokepoints on convoy or tighter domination points. I've picked Wolv back up now as my prime DPS as long as there's a Dino in the match on either side. You just get to play the game and brawl.

Commercial law demand/job market in Canada?

I'm looking at doing my three year law degree, and my interest is in commercia/business law for the earnings and I don't have interest in criminal, family, and other law. I like the idea of negotiations and proofing contracts and all that jazz, it feels within my personal skillset and wheelhouse more.

I do not need to work in Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, or Calgary, I'm fine working in smaller cities or towns, so the highly competitive markets there aren't a concern to me. I've heard that many firms overhired during COVID lockdowns and now there is no shortage.

Anyone who's practicing commercial/business law able to chime in and give a view of the current landscape on the job market and how it may develop the next few years?

Public Service Announcement: Poke comp counters Brawl comp.

Above is the Hero Shooter rock-paper-scissors of team comps.

Up until Devil Dinosaur's release, we have not had viable Brawl comp enabler tanks. Zhiyong made this game an escalating war of Poke vs Dive, buffing and nerfing each side to try to balance between them and largely failing as Poke became strong enough to handle Dive comp.

With the release of Devil Dinosaur, we now have a Brawl tank that fully enables a Brawl comp.

This is completely new for a lot of tank mains here and it shows, because I'm seeing a ton of posts decrying the fact that they are unable to stand directly in front of a Brawl tank and out-brawl them as Dr. Strange or Magneto. This is silly, because that's like trying to stand on Peni's nest of webs and mines, and out-bunker tank her.

Here are your options if you see the enemy team is running a Brawl comp now that Devil Dino enables it:

1. Counter their Brawl comp with a Poke comp. To do this, you need to ask yourself, which tanks enable Poke the best? That is your job as a tank. Your job is not to have a 1v1 showdown with the other tanks, it is to enable your team's comp to the highest effectiveness. If you don't want to do that, you need to be prepared to eat a loss. So, who enables Poke the best? Tankpool and Peni are very good because their Poke ability themselves is strong (although they picked a terrible time to nerf Tankpool's guns). Shield tanks like Mag, Emma, Strange also enable your pokers by protecting them. You can enable Poke with other tanks though by bodyguarding your pokers, there is a wide variety of tanks that can do this well, basically all of them, you just need to not try to out-Brawl the Brawl comp.

2. Counter their Brawl comp by also choosing Brawl comp and out-brawling the Brawl comp. Basically just get your own Brawl tanks and go to town and you can also have Brawl DPS or you can get creative and mix Wolverine with Punisher depending on the other team's formatand have a Brawl/Poke mix with Punisher's shotgun and rifle. May the best Brawlers win and have fun.

3. You can mix in a diver or flanker to hit and run the healers of the Brawl comp as distraction and to cut off healing if you have a particularly daring and good diver or you think that they just won't be able to handle it. The best version of this is using a flanker rather than a full diver. Conveniently, StarLord is currently fucking absolutely cracked and the best flanker in the game, and you can use him or other flankers to harass the Brawl frontline's healers and make them die to your Poke or Brawl.

This thread is here to help you and tank mains in general, because frankly, y'all are being whiny as hell instead of adapting to the fact that there is now Brawl comp in this game for the first time and you're still trying to play it like Poke vs Dive. No, you're not going to be able to just stand in front of the Brawl frontliners as Magneto and go mono e mono. If you want to play Mag for example, you need to use him as a tool to enable your pokers. If you want to play Groot, you use him to wall off the Brawlers from their backline so they die easily.

I'm telling you now, if even all of the so-called "tank mains" in the playerbase start complaining about Devil Dino and get him nerfed into the ground, you deserve to just have to solo tank Mag in Poke vs Dive dichotomy for the rest of this game's lifespan. We finally have actual Brawl comp enabled, and the first reaction of many of you is "I want to go back to just holding W down main". Okay, if that's what you really want, but I'm done tanking in Poke vs Dive meta, it was worn out on me and we finally have a meta shift. The introduction of Brawl comp now has been a giant IQ test for the community and it's either going to have to adapt to it, or they're going to complain about it until it's just removed and we return to the same meta that everyone has hated for the last year it feels like at this point growing stale.

How to counter the Dino as every tank: A beginner guide.

I've been seeing a really disturbing trend.

I'm seeing tank players turning on one of our own and complaining about having to play against the dinosaur. On the main sub I see people claiming to be tank mains screaming about how he's uncounterable and needs to be nerfed into the ground.

This is very troubling to me, because Dino feels like the first tank that actually plays like a Hero Shooter tank. He lives on team coordination, but dies on enemy team coordination as well. He can die in 3/4 of a Punisher magdump, but can also wreckingball through a team if he's supported.

As someone who just plays tank in general, the dino has been a breath of fresh air into a game that frankly hates and punishes tanks, and I see the future of him being nerfed to be as boring and weak as other tanks in this game if people keep crying about it so early. This is normal from DPS and Support players, but now I'm even seeing tank players screaming about Dino like Season 2 Emma when they couldn't just play around a single grab and kick.

So, here's how I'm countering dino on every tank, because there should be no excuses and no tank player should be calling for Devil Dino nerfs when he is such a solid direction for tanks to be taking with good sustain but still needing teamwork to get by.

General:

>Dino gets countered by poke, plain and simple. You as a tank can enable your poke DPS like Punisher and Jean to simply melt him down by pressuring enemy supports, cutting him off from them.

>As said above, cutting off his pet healer he needs pocketing him will counter him which means diving can be great.

S tier counters (can easily directly counter him straight on):

>Tankpool. Even with the nerfs, having upgraded Deagles and popping DIYA lets you tinktinktinktinktinktinktinktinktink dino in the face close range, and you pop your shield bubble to cut him off from his healing and he's cooked.

>Peni. Headshot him constantly with your zero reload cannons, stun him every three seconds, set up a nest for your pokers to fire from that he needs to wade into. However you can also cut off his support by stunning his backline as well and catching them with mines, but overall with the stuns you shut down so much of what he wants to do.

>Emma. Hosing him with 100 power beam demands a ton of healing for him and your shield can cut his support (especially the Luna shield now having increased range if you have Luna). However, diamond form grabs to help give people a moment to blast him is great.

>Dino. Dino is actually pretty sick at countering Dino much like many characters are their own best counter a lot of the time. Grab the opponent Dino with a Punisher on your back and he gets free shotgun headshots.

A tier counters (great at indirectly countering and interfering with his gameplan):

>Thor. I think a ton of Thor players right now are upset that we can no longer straight 1v1 every tank in the game. However, while Dino soaks up Thor's damage, this is no different than how I'd always play against other tanks back in the day. Many players who only jumped onto Thor since he became a kidnap monster don't remember how his old playstyle was shooting past the frontline to blast squishies in the back, and this is how you counter dino. Forget about kidnapping frontline, flank and drop in on his backline.

>Angela. Scout out which support is pocketing dino most and kidnap them, dive them, and get out. Do this constantly and he's gonna get killed.

>Groot. Iron wall nearby stops him grabbing you and his mini walls cut off his healing really easily. Hell you can even plant Iron Wall behind him and ping him and DPS will shoot him.

>Venom/Cap: Same concept for both all. Diving his supports means he is going to go down to the field on your team. If he turns around to try to peel for divers, congratulations now you've gained space from the point/cart. If you killed one of his supports even better because often dino needs both supports covering him.

>Hulk: Similar to above but because Hulk is a multitool you can do more than just dive. You can also track the dino's grab cooldown and jump and to bubble your team against him to stop it, or jump and bubble anyone he grabs. Smart Hulk is really good as shutting down his team support.

>Thing: Haymaker's % damage is pretty good here, but Dino's sustain is better than yours. Thankfully, you also have your jumps. Your dmg reduction you can apply to your brother tank, but even better you can apply your 20% dmg increase to Dino and now all those poke headshots and damage raining in on him can't even be stopped by two healers pocketing. You can also disrupt his support by charging, but applying the dmg increase is usually the best to take him down.

B tier counters (require the most team coordination to play into Dino):

>Mag. Save your self bubble for the inevitable grab, and keep your distance. Shoot past the dino to pressure supports.

>Strange. Same as Mag but without being able to bubble, instead save your flight. Basically like you would play into Wolverine.

>Rogue: Sort of like Emma, you can play around using your grab to stun him into place. If you've got Gambit team up you can brawl him, but otherwise you want to attack his backline. I would say Rogue without Gambit is the hardest to counter as she can't brawl him well.

Disclaimer: A "counter" doesn't mean "for free". The enemy team doesn't want you to beat them so they will fight back against you countering them, you still need to execute. As well, this is a team game. Just like the dino you're countering needs his team to support him countering you, you need your team as well. The enemy team will be trying to prevent you from countering their tanks. Dino is a great 1v1 tank that's his strength, but this is a team game. The more he can trap you into a 1v1 the worse you will do, but getting him stuck at range or without his team he folds.

I think we all agree that Dino finally feels like we have a fun, complete Hero Shooter tank, and it's just a shame that...

...he is a D Tier hero...

We finally have a tank that plays and feels like a complete Hero Shooter tank, we need to make sure we maintain one thing for our protection...

That Devil Dinosaur is a D Tier hero.

Digimon CHADS eating good

Thank you NetEase for bringing Greymon to the game. We greatly appreciate it and the Vanguard delegation approves.

I will be leaping from Hulk main to Dino main.

>hitscan beam that takes down flyers so I don't have to put myself at risk doing it

>giant bubble shield that blocks ults

>a leap that grabs as if the beam wasn't enough

>stomping Ult that does AOE damage and destroys stuff

>tons of frontline sustain overhealth

>Bleed effect to do lasting damage offensively

>gives a ride and damage reduction to a good poke hero

This character is everything Hulk could have been if he hadn't been a Season 0 design. Like holy shit, just the fact that I can down flyers without having to risk my life going deep into the enemy team is incredible. Then he also has a giant shield, frontline sustain, and can give a ride to Punisher?

Do the Devil Dinosaur haters feel ashamed of your words and deeds now?

Dino looks sick.

>!I do wish Scott would be a Vanguard too though.!<

I fully and wholeheartedly believe that this guy should just be a tank.

The lifesteal is very weak and really doesn't compensate the fact that he needs to be right up in people's faces to do damage. If he's not at level 10 Lifesteal he can even just straight lose a lot of 1v1's.

Having a big health pool would allow the lifesteal to act as a form of damage mitigation and sustain, whereas right now he can just be burst down and exploded so easily. You have to play more like a shotgun poker with brief bursts of sword to mop up enemies on the backfoot or cut down a frontline tank by anti-healing them. I have some games where I run riot on the enemy team, but usually it's just due to bad coordination on their part and we were gonna win no matter what.

Is he functional? Yes, if you play a very particular and specific way, sometimes. Is it the best the character could be under this kit? No. I know reworking characters is unpopular since they develop fans dependent on how they are, but he's in my top three for rework targets honestly, two of the three are "these guys would work better as Vanguards".

List of obvious Vanguard choices and yet we get Literally Who nearly Donut Steele characters instead:

This is just off the top of my head:

>War Machine

>Cable

>Doom

>Beta Ray Bill

>Bishop

>Modok

>Silver Surfer

>Ghost Rider

>Doc Oc

>Colossus

>Beast

>Sabretooth

>Rhino

Stupid T-Rex is fine sure okay but seriously why? It's not like they're going to run out of iconic Marvel characters at the rate of three Vanguards per year. Why are we not getting fan favorite characters here? They're scraping the bottom of the barrel as if we're on Season 173 or something and running out of ideas.

Do we see the falling player numbers? Maybe the lack of adding people's fav characters to a Marvel game where the draw is playing your fav Marvel characters might contribute to that and seeing new popular characters added would bring more players and interest.

Amazing development this week in an application.

After a good interview, hiring manager messaged me on Indeed saying that of their hundreds of applicants, they are now looking to hire 10 casual position workers to work maybe one shift a week and then possibly select a full timer from that crop after a few months.

I'm just tryna get a full time job to sustain my rent, or I gotta move.

I'm somewhat certain they just want to not pay a full time hire benefits.
