I’m currently in an immigration limbo. I have an approved PERM and I-140, and I also have a pending affirmative asylum case. I’m not sure how to obtain my green card

whether I should pursue adjustment of status in the U.S. under INA 245(k), since I only have 69 days of unlawful status, or go through consular processing instead.

I want to read about the experiences of people who obtained permanent residency through Adjustment of Status based on an EB-3 PERM petition while having a pending affirmative asylum application.

I’m looking for real experiences from people who have been in a similar situation.
My situation is:
● I have a pending affirmative asylum application (not in removal proceedings).
● My employer has filed an EB-3 PERM, and the I-140 is either approved or expected to be approved soon.
● I may be eligible to file Adjustment of Status under INA 245(k).
I’m interested in hearing from people who actually went through this process.
Specifically:
● Were you able to successfully adjust status while your affirmative asylum case was still pending?
● Did USCIS ask you to withdraw your asylum application?
● Did you receive any RFEs or have any issues related to maintaining status or INA 245(k)?
● If your adjustment was denied, what happened afterward? Was an NTA issued even though your asylum case was still pending?
● Any advice or lessons learned from your experience?
