For example

What if the Gritshaka had taken over Jim completely

What if Hunter Jim had successfully killed the original Jim

What if Jim had actually become like Deep Jim

What if the Gravesand had affected Jim permanently (aside from the voice)

What if they failed to save Jim from the corruption

Things like that

It makes me think, if Ishida really was the one who changed that in the Anime

Why?

Did he change his mind? Did he didn't like how he wrote Kaneki in the Manga?

She literally was one of the few characters the Anime didn't butcher, her adapted panels are literally incredible

I know Tokyo Ghoul had some edgy shit but Pierrot with Ken's portrayal and the fandom at that time did not help at all.

Several years ago i made a series of drawings for all Kaneki's personalities/versions on Twitter.

Now that my abilities have gotten better and I'm trying a new artstyle I wanted to exploit it more

So I made these 2 drawings for Ken to start my new set of drawings, a full body key frame and a full key frame based on a scene from the original Manga.

Starting with the original Ken Kaneki, the human one prior to his date with Rize. I gave him the original Manga look cause I would like to adapt the Manga version of the outfits.

The objetive isn't precisely to translate Ishida's art to Anime art but to translate his designs to MY artstyle and make something out of it.

Ofc there will be a finished colored version for the artworks too :)

Nakayama is an artist known best for his work on Megaman Zero specially the MMZ3 key art

Sadly I couldn't find images like this for X, Vent, Geo, Volnutt and Grey

Do you think Kaneki's conclusion in Re was good or did you wanted it to end at OG TG?

Unravel was such an iconic song it somehow became Canon in the Manga even.

Also can we talk about how much Toru Kitajima looks like Kaneki?

And it gets worse cause Riddle (the red haired dude) has Kaneki's voice in JP and the first person I compared Juuzou IS A DUDE just like him, Takizawa and Idia also has some similar faces too, and Yuuken kinda reminded me of Amon

Also I know the character designer is the mangaka of Black Butler but I didn't watched that Series so I didn't thought of that

Funny how a dark seinen series with an extremely realistic artstyle has an Anime visually comparable with fucking Disney

And this is the second time I've seen some TG X Disney comparisons first one being that the composer for the Live action also did some Disney movie scores.

I plan on giving the rest full body illustration with a more polished look (fun Fact the artstyle is inspire by Megaman X DIVE)

Its the first time in quite a while since I've drawn a full body drawing

When Kaneki is on white hair (Shironeki/KaneKing) he looks the same just with sighlty longer hair (and ofc Ishida's evolution) this is more noticeable when he uses the mask.

However when he goes back to black hair he looks NOTHING like the original one, his factions become more mature and less young, he's hair is much longer and this isn't even a matter of art evolution Ishida drew Kuroneki several times in Re and even Redid chapter 1 with Re's artstyle and it still didn't look like Reaperneki.

However after getting out of the dragon despite having longer white hair he somehow resembles Kuroneki again

I find it really wholesome in a way, it means how the innocent Ken we saw at the beginning was slowly vanishing the more his personality changed yet the final one is curiously the one that looks the most to the original Kaneki as if a part of Kaneki he lost long ago had suddenly come back.

I had quite the upgrade

But what in the Dark lands was I cooking in 2024?

Ngl I'd do it too even if I had his skills.

I remember seeing people hating on 3B just cause they went from Trolls to Aliens, and from fantasy genre to sci-fi genre.

We have to understand something, Tales of Arcadia as a whole is bunch of stories that interconnect with each other, with different creatures lurking and arriving in Arcadia, Trolls, Goblins, Gnomes, wizards, aliens, you name it, the franchise was never just about Trolls (or at least before Trollhunters Part 2 where the trilogy thing started)

Now here's the thing

Just because the genre changed doesn't mean the story did, 3B's story was pretty much Trollhunters but with more racism critique, shifting from hunters to hunted, etc. But at its core its the same but reversed

Jim and Aja are like antithesis of each other, Jim was a normal boy that wanted to live a exciting life, Aja is a princess that wanted to have a normal one, in the original story the main characters are Hunters in 3Below it was a hunted Royalty, in Trollhunters Jim has to abandon his life and hometown while Aja had to leave her boyfriend and brother to return home and be a queen.

There are also several characters that I believe are similar such as Morando and Gunmar or Angor Rot and Kubritz/Tronos.

Point is that if 3Below were to be a bad series (which in my opinion is not) it's not because of the genre shifting.

Also to the person that designed the amulet WHAT'S WITH YOU PAL? WHY DID THEY MADE IT SO HARD TO DRAW?
