Weight estimate?

This is the biggest bass I’ve ever caught as I pretty much only fish with ultralight gear. It was a long hard fight (and lots of praying) landing this bass without my rod or line breaking. I had no idea they could even get this big in this small of streams. At first I thought I had snagged a log. Lol.

I took a picture with it against my body and then measured at home and it was roughly 19-20 inches.

Is this a spotted bass?

Caught in a shallow creek on a Okuma Celilo ultralight rod paired with size 25 Pflueger president spooled with 4 lb mono using a 1.5 inch Creme crawfish crank bait.

Experience with Insect AR/Mavllos Youchong?

I see that these rods are pretty popular in Asia and seem to be built well. However there’s very few reviews of these online. For those that have experience with them are they good rods? The other option I am looking at is the Mifine Microbite Ajing in 2-10g.

Solid tip vs tubular tip rods?

How do the different tips affect the rod? I plan to use this rod to mainly target bass in creeks and small rivers. I will be mostly using hard baits with treble hooks.

Im looking at buying a Mifine Microbite Ajing rod in the 2-10g configuration to target bass. I know they come in tubular and solid tip configurations but haven’t been able to find a tubular tip in a casting rod.

Would I be fine getting a solid tip? Thank you.

Medium light vs light for bass?

What rod power would be your preference? I plan to use this rod for creeks and small rivers targeting mainly bass plus whatever else bites. I have an ultra light spinning combo (1/32 oz to 1/4 oz) that I use for very light stuff to fish for trout and anything that bites in creeks. I also have a medium heavy bait caster (3/8 oz to 1 oz).

I plan to mainly use hard baits from 4g to 8 g with an occasional 10 and 11 gram lure. I’m stressing out over which to choose.

Beginner/Budget BFS Setup Recommendations?

Considering a bfs set up or a medium light spinning set up to throw a bit heavier lures like the karashi 80 but still be able to throw lighter lures basically something that can handle from around 1/8 oz to around 1/2 oz. I’d mostly be using hard baits on it.

I already have an ultralight spinning set up that I use to throw very light jigs such as trout magnets.

What are some good beginner/budget bfs reels/rods?

I’d preferably want to stay under $100 but I am willing to stretch it a bit.

Any recommendations are welcome and helpful as I am not very knowledgeable in the BFS world
