thoughts on Florence

I’m in the uk 🇬🇧
What do you think of Florence? I personally like it it goes well with our surname. My partner likes it, our families do not😂 they said it’s old fashioned. I didn’t think it was that old, my niece is 6 and has a Florence in her class. I also love the nicknames Florrie, Flora etc. it also reminds me of Florence and the machine who was my fav artist as a teenager

Wanting to use the name Felix but family hate it. 🇬🇧

I want to use the name Felix John. I think it’s cute, elegant and will age well. I announced this to my family and they said he will get bullied. I told one of my friends and she started laughing before realising I was serious.

Other names I like are Jesse and Sonny, but I feel like they’re too “nick-namey”, but I like the on their own, I don’t like any other alternatives.

Should I stick with my decision or search for new names.
I’m heartbroken as I’ve had this name in my head since before I was even pregnant.

Thoughts on patsy

(Uk)
My sister is pregnant and is adamant she’s naming her baby girl Patsy. What do you guys think of this?

Not Patricia, just Patsy. I’ve been supportive so far but personally i really dislike this name. It sounds outdated, and to imagine that one day they’ll be a 4 year old patsy,
Or a 9 year old Patsy is mind boggling to me.

The only other time I’ve heard this name is when my nan told me her old childhood friend was called patsy, (she’ll be 83 now!) I know this isn’t really my business but everytime I hear her refer to patsy (like oh I need to buy patsy some bits) i cringe! Hopefully it will grow on me😫

Maybe I’m just being too harsh, what do you think?

Looking for some friends

Hi everyone.
I’m a F20 and looking for some friends. Im actually from, and live in London at the moment but I visit my bf quite frequently (Huyton) and it would be really nice to have some girls to talk to maybe meet up sometimes. I’ll be moving up in December time. Since leaving school and college etc I’ve had a hard time making and keeping friends. I love shopping lol, and I going for a coffee or on a walk etc. I’m not a smoker but I like to go out for drinks occasionally and have a laugh. Im not too fussy about being the same age or if you have kids or anything it’s no problem, as long as your over 18 :) x
Thank you :)

Narrowed down my list but still can’t choose a name.

I’ve narrowed my boys names down but still struggling to pick. Would love to hear you favs or least faves and why :)

I’m open to other suggestions too!

Caleb
Daniel
Felix
Joey
Rhett
Zack

I love Felix but I wish it had some nicknames. Im a bit worried that it’s too associated to the cat advert (huge in the UK) and I’m worried I might feel a bit silly shouting Felix across the playground. Idk if I can picture a 20 year old with the name 🥺 I do love it tho!

Need help what can I do

Not really sure what to do about this! My best friend is pregnant with a little girl, she already has a son called Dimo. (They’re from Russia). But since they moved over here to the uk, she wants to give her daughter a less Russian name. And when I heard it I almost choked on air. She wants to name her daughter “Clitsey”. Yes. And I’ve explained to her so many times the meaning of the first part and that she might get nicknamed a certain word or get teased for it. But she disagrees and doesn’t think anything of it. I’ve also suggested changing the spelling or pronunciation, I’ve suggested maybe considering Cleetsie, cletsie, literally all the similar possibilities. I don’t think the word means the same thing where she’s from and that’s why she refuses to see it. I can’t let this little girl be named this but i also don’t know what else I can do as it’s not my child or decision😩

Girl names ending in ie

We’re looking for some girl names ending in ie Incase we have a girl :)
I like Saffie, Florrie, Sylvie and Elodie so far but my partner doesn’t “love” them.

If we have a boy he will be Richie or Georgie (yes we are huge IT fans) but we also do just love names ending in ie too.
Would love your opinions and suggestions thank you

I’m not big on the generic Millie, Tillie, Lillie, etc

Help with finding a name for our nickname.

We have decided (for sentimental reasons) we want to name our son Richie, but we want this to be short or be a nickname for something as we don’t really want to just put Richie on his birth certificate, it just doesn’t seem complete. Also we don’t really want people being like “oh what’s it short for?” And then us having to say it’s just Richie on its own😂 But our problem is we don’t like the name Richard! It seems a little out dated and a nickname for this is Dick lol. We are desperately trying to think of something else can anyone help please? We have already ruled out: Richard, Ricardo, Rodrick, Riko
Thank you!
