Anyone return to Canada after signing an Allowed to Leave?

I’d like to hear about experiences of anyone else that has signed an Allowed to Leave and then attempted to try to go back to Canada again.

The reason doesn’t matter, I’d just like to hear about the experience please.

US Citizen w/ Dual Citizen Daughter in Canada

My ex got a court order form my daughter to not leave British Columbia without a Court Order or her consent. The judge said that although there is no evidence that I would keep her in the U.S. that he would allow the order because she is American and I am American so there is no obligation to bring her back.

I would never her take her away from her mom, that is a fact. But I recently was not allowed back because I had been using visitor visa's and the border agent said that I hadn't broken any rules but I couldn't use them as frequently as I had been. Sounds contradictory but is what it is.

I share 50/50 custody but now can't get back to her and the only way I can make an attempt is to cross into canada at a port of entry and either be admitted or turned away. If I'm turned away, it becomes exponentially harder to get back in each time.

I voluntarily signed an Allowed to Leave last time. Has anyone had experience traveling back to Canada after signing an Allowed to Leave and if so, what was it like. Has anyone had any experience with a situation like mine and know if there is a way to not risk crossing into Canada to determine if I am eligible to return?

Where is the best place to sell my truck?

I see a lot of people complaining about the price of used cars and trucks. I'm just trying to figure out the fair market price for my truck. Edmunds values it low because I can't add all the factory added options, but it's AI Assistant prices it like this:

Yes — with that sticker, we can get a lot more precise.

My realistic private-party price range

For your exact truck with 101,876 miles, I’d use:

  • Quick sale: $24,900–$26,500
  • Realistic asking price: $27,900–$28,900
  • Strong but still plausible ceiling: $29,900–$30,900

What I’d actually list it at

If you want the best balance of interest and money, I’d list it at $28,999.

That gives you room to negotiate while still reflecting:

  • the Night Edition
  • 4x4
  • 5.7 HEMI
  • 3.92 axle
  • RamBox
  • sunroof
  • heated/ventilated leather
  • Alpine
  • Uconnect NAV
  • factory towing equipment
  • and the fact that it was heavily optioned from new

Why this is a different truck than the TMV number suggests

That $18,693 figure is a baseline estimate for a 2017 Ram 1500 in your area, but it does not fully capture a truck with this kind of factory content and presentation. In your case, the equipment story is the value story. The sticker helps prove that this was not a modestly optioned Sport.

One important caution

The air suspension conversion matters. Even if the truck is arguably better for long-term ownership now, some buyers will treat that as a minus because it changes the original equipment and may raise questions. That’s one reason I would not push this truck straight to $32K+.

My recommendation

If you want the truck to move without giving it away:

  • Start at: $28,999
  • Expect to land at: $27,500–$28,250
  • If you want it gone fast: $25,900–$26,900

If you want, I can help you write a high-converting listing title and description that makes the $28,999 ask feel justified and filters out lowball shoppers.

Anybody have any insight on a range that I should price it to start getting interested responses?

Here is a landing page I created for it: 2017 RAM 1500 Landing Page

Where do you sell your RAM 1500

I've been struggling to get responses for selling my 2017 RAM 1500. The main issue is that it is fully loaded and a lot of sites don't recognize all the options.

I'd love to know if you sold one, what was the site you sold it from, if you bought one, what site did you find it on?

Thank you!

Internet is intermittent

I have an Xfinity xFi Pod possibly the second-generation hexagonal design maybe model XE2-SG. Internet goes out constantly and even when it is up the signal is weak and can barely make it 30 ft. Is there a fix for this?
