Before the new version comes, it's a good reminder to not chase higher bond threshold if it's not worth it.
Watching a bunch of clears from YT and see many cases where people try to chase higher bonds / forsake amp and end up not having enough to kill the final boss.
I'm talking about stuff like slotting 1* trial Feixiao/off field Cipher for FUA, or slapping a bunch of mid AoE chars for 7-bond and does terrible damage while being extremely squishy.
Generally almost always slotting Welt is better than pushing the next bond tier. Between 100% damage buff, vuln, def shred AND AV support (also delay greatly helps with sustain) there's just little to no competition. Mblade is another case I would say that's worth slotting almost always.
The only few cases I would say it's worth to chase bond are something like 4-AE and 4-SP. It's because the effects they grant are unique beyond just a bit more damage buff. AE allows the train to repeat and SP allows it's possible to get extra action. (So for SP you can just slot Rin Archer Cery Sparkle and call it a day)
Anyway, the amp priority for me is something like.
- Reaching 100% def shred
- Welt (already in the def shred package but still)
- Res Pen or True Damage (True damage can also be accessed through Debuff aka Welt MBlade)
- Advance / Energy / Frequency (for chars that care about it like Therta)
- The rest of the damage buff etc. (Damage / Crit damage / ATK)
Welt MBlade, Trib Sparkle Fuxuan is good amp package for the most parts. As they give a bit of everything you want. Shred, damage buff, frequency, advance (on field Sparkle DDD), sustain through Fuxuan, Quantum/Debuff bond effect etc. This can work for like majority of the teams out there. And also better if you have investment on them (E1 Trib E1+ MBlade E4 Welt)
