Hair loss and testosterone cream.

Does the hair loss stop after you quit using the cream and move on to a different method? I can’t believe how much hair shedding I’ve had since starting the cream! I feel like I need to start taking biotin/collagen supplements.

This gel thing seems to be not working.

Hi again. Well, for the past 4 nights I’ve regressed. I wake up in the middle of the night. I am hot as hell, and clammy. Not really like night sweats, but more like clammy. I hate this. I think this gel is not being absorbed, or does there come a time when your body just adapts and basically mocks your estrogen replacement regiment?? I can’t stand it. Also, the sweaty inner thighs are gross. I’ve taken to putting antiperspirant in that area. I’m not heavy. My legs are thin, but this is just embarrassing. Do you need to change up the delivery system of estrogen? Sort of like switching shampoos because your hair just gets used to it??? This shit is making me nuts. I’m seeing my Dr in about 3 weeks. What is the best thing she can do for me…given your experience?

Dry as the Sahara Desert.

Well, it’s been since late March with vaginal cream, estradiol gel 0.06, and testosterone cream, 0.05. I can tell you that honestly, nothing seems to have changed much. Maybe my hot flashes have lessened, but that’s about it. I’m going to see my Dr next month, but I no want to have some idea of what other women have/have not done to finally feel normal again. Despite the vaginal cream, things are still super dry and like sandpaper! My libido is limping along, and testosterone cream seems to really affect my hair, and voice. Maybe I’m crazy, but I swear this has been so noticeable. Has anyone tried anything that I haven’t mentioned here for dryness, and just a general feeling of “this shit really works”???

Glycine and NAC

So, I had a bit of a battle with high liver enzymes (not terribly high), but we went through all the diagnostics and found basically a very low grade fatty liver which Dr says is nothing uncommon; stay away from sugar and alcohol, basically. In my research I found a few supplements like TUDCA, and NAC to be beneficial. The NAC I have has glycine. What specifically does the combination do??? Today I read that NAC is not good for the stomach lining!!! Oh dear. I had diverticulitis once, and now I’m thinking maybe that’s not the supplement I should be taking!! Can anyone who has more insight on this, explain some of this?

Best delivery method of Test to minimize side effects.

Hi, post menopause and 63. Have had both ovaries and fallopian tubes removed about 2 years ago. Dr has prescribed estrogen gel/testosterone cream. 2 clicks per day (5 mg). I did notice lots of hair shedding (more than my usual summer shedding), and a little raspier in the voice. None of the “good” side effects seem to have taken place! Libido, limping along, mood, ehh. So I ask you, what is the best delivery method to minimize the bad side effects, and maximize the good???

No testosterone??

Has anyone here that is way post menopause tried HRT w/out the testosterone added? I’m curious because I’m on the cream and so far the only thing I noticed were: a more flushed face, and hair shedding more than the usual “summer shed”. No change in libido, for sure. Also, it’s probably added a few lbs. I can’t go on. I just stopped using it.

Test cream 5 mg.

I’ve been on this cream now for about 6 weeks. The only thing I’ve noticed is; can’t lose a pound. Hair seems like more shedding. Is this too little? Too much? My libido certainly has not been responding to this. (Sigh) I’m also on estrogen gel. Progesterone, and vaginal estrogen. 63. Had ovaries removed about 2 years ago.

Facial flushing

Just as an added bonus to all the other crap, has anyone experienced this facial flushing? HRT seems not to help. I feel like a look like a doll. I don’t need any blush anymore! Driving me crazy. Can’t have a sip of alcohol w/out turning bright red. Wake up in the morning, rosy glow! Is this menopause stuff? I’ve had extensive metabolic panels, thyroid panels, etc. It’s all w/in normal. Dr says menopause causes vascular changes and that’s her answer. Anyone else???

Help with how you know you got it right!

How did you finally get to the “aha” moment??? I’ve been on gel estradiol and cream testosterone, along with vaginal estrogen and progesterone. Things, are getting better, I think. The part that still is lacking is libido, and also I still get very hot when I sleep. Not sweaty until I actually get up and start moving about, then I have this weird hot/sweaty/clammy feeling. This was very prevalent and annoying with no HRT, and although it’s a bit better, it’s still there. It eventually goes away, but super annoying. Is this lack of estrogen still? Can I just add one more pump to my regimen? Calling the Drs office is useless.

EST gel, Test cream

For those on this combo. Do you apply both the estrogen gel, and testosterone cream at same time? One lady I spoke to said she does testosterone cream morning and estrogen gel at night. I was never given specific instructions.

NAC

I’ve read about NAC. I’ve ordered a starter bottle, but would love to hear your stories. Did you feel any different taking it? If so, what effects did you feel? Did you take with/without food? How much did you take? I started researching this when my liver enzymes came back high, but I understand there’s more benefits.

Well, I’ve got myself straightened around with HRT (vaginal estrogen, estrogen gel, testosterone cream, and progesterone). I can feel the libido coming back, so that’s good, but I feel like I’m losing quite a few more strands of hair too. I’m also very conscious of it so I may be paranoid. Is this a thing with the testosterone cream? I thought it was only an issue if injected.

Hi. I’ve never done the peptides or any kind of weight loss shots/GLP. My friends have. They’ve lost a ton of weight. Now they claim they are on maintenance program. They are on a “stack” of peptides for anti-aging, muscle building after extreme fat loss, and glowing skin! That sounds like a lot. I am wanting to try this, but is it a forever thing? Like once you stop your carriage turns back into a pumpkin??? I’m just looking for advice before I throw myself into this.

So…the state in which I live is the pits for healthcare/insurance, etc. Recently I went to a new Dr. She was great! Advised estrogen patch, test cream, progesterone, and vaginal estrogen. Perfect. We were off to the races! Here comes the insurance infighting with the prescription saying they need authorization for it. The back and forth between Drs office and insurance ensues. I call both organizations. One blames the other. Next up; pharmacy saying they do not have estrogen patches in stock. Drs office calls 3 pharmacies to see if anyone has it. No. All patches seem out of stock everywhere. So…here I am; no estrogen patch, have the testosterone cream, the vaginal estrogen (game changer), and progesterone. Drs office suggests pellets but Dr is booked for a month. I’m at wits end here. Can it be possible to get through this menopause life with only the vaginal estrogen? I can’t take oral estrogen. I have no ovaries. Only a uterus. Has anyone else had this happen?
