I know many of you cut through Newell to get to the Rossmore area. School started today. There are 2 schools right next to each other that come out at around the same time. Parkmead and Tice Creek. Traffic is bumper to bumper starting from about 2.45. I have a kid at Tice Creek and today during pick up multiple people got out of the traffic and drove into the other lane for opposite traffic. That is dangerous as there are kids riding bikes back home that have to ride on the street as the sidewalks are busy. PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT EVER. It is a school zone.
So from Monday to Friday it will always be backed up. Do not drive through there during school pick up if you are in a hurry. Do not drive in the opposite lane to get through the pick up traffic. Turn into Lilac to get out. Or take a right at Magnolia Way for the sake of the kids safety.
The parents hate sitting in traffic too. Both schools have minimal Parking and the pickup lanes are super short. There is nothing we can do but wait. So please, drive safe in school zones.
Thank you.
Edit: Yay, thank you to those who turned into Lilac. Much better traffic flow today. Thanks for keeping the roads safe for the kids!
If you didn't know Walnut Creek has an Artistic Swim Team Called the Aquanuts. They are having a fundraiser swim show this Saturday the 30th of May from 5 to 8 pm.
The coaches are former olympians and if you didn't know two former Aquanuts have just qualified to compete in Team USA Artistic Swim Team representing the US in LA in 2028!!! They are performing this weekend as well.
So if you are having a hard time getting those Olympic tickets, this is your chance to see the team locally in your own backyard! The show is at the Heather Farm Pool.
You can still get tickets here. The funds raised are used for pool rental and competition expenses.
Thought you guys would get a kick out of her interview from our very niche San Francisco East Bay Magazine: Diablo - The Magazine of the East Bay. And yes we do very much claim her.
So this is my second order from a seller that I had a really good experience with. The first bag I got to see a full length of leather in a factory that was super clean. I loved both the experience and the bag so much that I ordered a second bag. That is pictured here.
They are charging me $950 for it. During the leather selection phase for this bag it took a week to see any kind of leather and I was not getting any response to my questions. So different from the first order. I called them out as I believe I was passed on to someone else less experience who does not have access to that first factory.
They apologized and finally got me some leather samples. They were tiny scraps and were taken from an open balcony of this other factory with rust and dirt all over the place. They claim that the factory is busy and could not give me the same kind of service as the first bag so they had to go to the factory themselves to get me the samples.
I gave the be benefit of the doubt as they started responding to me again. Now when I ask for the status of the bag they send me this photo. It has plastic on the handles my first bag after manufacturing did not have that and it was not made in the gleaming nice factory as my first bag. At best this is a $150 bag, it looks so DHGate. Again I called them out and now I am not getting any response.
Should I just cut my loses? Such a bummer as I really loved the experience with my first bag.
(First photo is of my 2nd bag order, second photo are the leather scraps, third photo are some photos they sent me from a different factory that showed me the leather and zippers they used to make my bag. )
