[FINAL UPDATE - Part 2] I confessed everything, we went out last night, and my entire life completely changed. ❤️✨

Part 1 - Previous Post Here

Final update for everyone who commented on my post yesterday morning—dimaag abhi bhi ghoom raha hai, but I needed to post this.

Yesterday after reading all your comments, I gathered some courage and texted her around noon: "Free at 4? Chai pe chalte hain, need to talk about last night." She replied almost instantly saying she was waiting for my text all morning.

When we met at our usual cafe, she didn't even beat around the bush. She looked straight at me and went, "Accha batao, what did you mean by 'who said I was acting' last night?"

I decided no more playing safe. I told her honestly that Thursday night changed everything for me. Standing there, holding her hand in front of her ex—it felt way too real. I told her my feelings shifted and I couldn't just pretend to be "just friends" anymore.

Guys, she didn't say a single word for like ten seconds. She just blushed so hard, looked down, and when she looked back up... I swear her eyes said everything her voice couldn't. She softly confessed that last night made her realize she’s been feeling the same way for a while now.

That casual chai catch-up turned into us spending the entire Friday evening together. We went for dinner, and the vibe was totally different—no casual buddy banter, just this quiet, amazing tension between us. When I dropped her home around midnight, we kissed before she went upstairs.

I know some people will say ki hum bohot jaldi move kar rahe hain—Thursday fake date, Friday real date. We both know it's quick. Par jab feelings mutual hain, toh faltu me "cool" banne ke liye time waste kyu karna?

TLDR; I went to a wedding just to support a friend, and now my entire life has changed.

Thanks a lot to everyone on this sub who pushed me to talk to her yesterday. Wish us luck! 🥂❤️

Pata hai aaj kya hua... Went as my girl best friend's +1 to her ex's wedding last night, pulled a fake-dating card, and now things are super weird. 💀

Guys, I need to vent because my mind has been completely racing since last night and I barely slept.

A couple of weeks ago, my close friend (let's call her R) got an invite to her ex’s wedding. They broke up over a year ago, but she was visibly stressed about it. She wasn't planning on going, but during a random chai catch-up, she mentioned it and looked pretty down. I casually told her, "Tu akele kyu jayegi? Main chal raha hu as your +1, proper suit pehan ke chalte hain."

Fast forward to yesterday evening at the venue. Everything was pretty normal—standard wedding food, awkward small talk—until her ex spotted us near the mocktail counter. He walked up to her with this annoying smug smile and went, "Hey! Surprised you actually made it. Akeli aayi ho?"

Before she could even craft a reply, I stepped in, casually put my hand around her waist, pulled her a bit closer, and said, "Actually, we came together. Good to finally meet you!"

The shift in her ex's expression was priceless, but that wasn't even the crazy part. For the rest of the night, I didn't really drop the act. I kept holding her hand while navigating the crowd, leaning in super close to whisper stupid jokes about the uncle group-dancing, and staying right by her side. It felt way too natural, and honestly, my heart was doing backflips the entire evening.

On the drive back to her place around midnight, the car was dead silent—proper awkward silence wala atmosphere. When we reached her building, I walked her to the entrance. She laughed nervously and said, "Thanks for saving me back there, impressive acting."

I just looked at her for a second, smiled, and said, "Who said I was acting?" ...and then just tapped her shoulder, said "Text me when you're upstairs," and walked back to my car.

Bro??? Pata hai aaj kya hua, I think I just blew up a 3-year friendship or opened a whole new door. It's Friday morning now, I'm sitting with my coffee trying to act normal, but I don't even know how to text her today without making it weird. What am I supposed to do now?!

"How do you afford hospitality tickets to the Ashes in England?" ...By having zero kids to support.

A group chat with our parent friends was in full meltdown mode this morning trying to coordinate a simple weekend cabin trip around sports practices, nap times, and school calendars.

Right in the middle of it, a notification popped up that Ashes hospitality tickets for the UK tour dropped. My partner looked across the breakfast table, asked "Lord's or The Oval?", and 3 minutes later we had 5-day Test match tickets, flights, and a boutique hotel booked in London.

No checking with grandparents for childcare, no packing three stroller bags, no worrying if a 7-hour cricket day is "child friendly." Just five straight days of watching Bazball, drinking pint after pint in the sun, and sleeping in.

Moments like this make me appreciate the sheer freedom of this lifestyle so much. Anyone else planning major bucket-list sports trips without the scheduling nightmares?

[IWantOut] 25M India -> Australia

Hello fellow redditors,

Please read this and suggest, I'll appreciate your time and efforts.

My background: I will be a qualified Chartered Accountant by the end of this year (Nov, 2026) and I am also a CFA L2 candidate (Feb, 2027). Hopefully, I'll become a CA by January 2027 when the results are out.

I want to move abroad, my preferences are Australia, Canada & USA. open to Europe, Singapore or UAE as well.

I wanted to move through the study route, but that is costing upwards of 70 lakhs, that's too much for me.

now the only option is to move out through employment route, either I look for a job directly abroad or I get internally transferred in my company.

can you help me understand how this will work or what I would have to do?

I am interested in core finance jobs like investment banking, portfolio management or something on the similar lines. I am ready to work initial years in India until I get a job offer from an international employer.

**PR is very important for me.**

please help me in planning my immigration abroad.

Please ask away any questions if I missed any important details above.
