Rough start

I feel like I've been messing up since the school year started. I feel disorganized and am trying to take it day by day. Its hard working with other teachers who are so different. I am in my 5th year and am used to adapting but lately I just feel like I can do it anymore. I have nothing to fall back on and am thinking of going back to school for something else. I work with 2 teachers (different grade levels) who are both very type A and always organized with everything - small groups and planned to a T. And then the other 3 who are type B - i feel ok when i make mistakes but the other two terrify me.

I tested 3 kids because they are native Spanish speakers and now i am getting emailed about the tests and now i am wondering if I did it wrong. I read it and followed what was asked but didn't write in subbed answers which is probably what the teacher wanted but there was no mention of that so now I am in my head about it.

I hate testing students with Gen ed testing materials. Makes me so nervous if I mess up..

I already feel like teachers dont think i am fit for the job

I hate ACCESS

Access, wida screening - hate them both.

I hate my districts awful system with home surveys.

So stupid and this is why students get misidentified and then it because a huge confusion for all involved.

Also alternate screener and alternative ACCESS is such a huge headache to try to get everyone on the iep team to sit and discuss and decide what's best for he student. I have MLL SPED students i dont even know because "theres no time for esl services" wtf ok so then why get mad at me when you cant find out what the student is trying to say. LET ME WORK WITH MY STUDENTS

Anyone else have worse periods as the age?

I got my first period around 9/10 years old. I never really dealt with cramps or bloating - maybe once or twice but it wasnt extreme. Then in college I experienced "real" cramps and was like woah this sucks - I didnt realize this was how cramps felt! Now I'm 31 and I sometimes need to take a sick day for my cramps. Really regretting not taking one today 😪 I cant get anything down during prep and have to go back to class in 5 mins..

Is this normal for period symptoms to worsen or "become normal" as you age?? Didnt realize how lucky I was back then.

What do you talk about with male friends?

Met this guy on a language exchange app about 2 weeks ago, exchanged numbers and been talking on the phone ever since, told him I was looking for friends and possibly something more - He was never weird or flirty and this morning only recently he admitted to having a wife. He says that his wife knows that he talks with me and is fine with it (apparently) she also is on the app for language exchange. I got upset and told him I didnt like that he never mentioned his wife. He said it was because when he does people dont want to talk with him. He says he speaks to his wife everyday (he is studying abroad and so is she but in different countries). I do believe him because he is sincere and he cares are his studies but I hate that he didnt mention his wife and idk if I should even continue talking to him. If its just for language exchange I see no harm in continuing a friendship but I just feel weird about it. Again he was never flirty or made weird comments. I've never had a male friend so what do we even talk about? Not saying married people cant make new friends just really wished he mentioned having a wife in the beginning. Any advice?

I hate being only 5'0 ft..

I hate being only 5ft (152 cm)..

The hospital scale claims I am 4'9ft (liiiiies!!!) I am not that short! But still it sucks being so short! I have to really watch what I eat or risk health issues. I have been constantly on the edge of the overweight scale since I was a teenager and it lead to an ED. I'm 31 now and have been working with a nutritionist for 2 years but I still can't get to my normal weight range considered for my height and its so annoying having every doctor's visit being about my weight and how obese I am all because I am only 5ft tall.

AITA for saying no to my 4 year old nephew?

I 31F, live with my parents and so does my sister 34F and her family. Her family includes her husband and her two boys ages 2 and 4.

Anyways, this weekend I had a craving for donuts. I hadn't bought in a while so I went and bought half a dozen donuts at dunkin. I got the boys their favorite donut so that they can have one in the morning. My sister complains that her 4 year will ask for eggs and sausage for breakfast but then doesnt eat it. He only eats the ketchup on the side. This is his norm. He doesnt eat much food but a lot of junk.

Last night for dinner he had a bag of cheetos and fanta. When I came home with the donuts the boys rushed up to me. I didnt know if they had eaten their breakfast yet so I told them to ask mom first. My sister said it was fine so I gave them one donut each. My 4 year nephew inhaled it and came back with his mouth full and showed me his empty plate. I said "Wow good job finishing your food!" He then stared at me pushing the plate into my face. My sister then said that he wants more. I turned to her and ask if she was sure she was okay with that. My nephew then put his plate down and got upset - his mouth was still full. I told him to finish what's in his mouth first. My sister said to give him half a donut. Instead I gave her the box so she could do it herself.

I dont understand why she complains that he doesnt eat "real" food and that he has cavities when she allows these eating habits at such a young age. She got upset with me because "its not a big deal if he eats 2 donuts. Why are you being judgemental? So when you have kids are you going to tell them they cant have donuts?" I replied with "They'd have just one because 4 year olds shouldn't need more than one donut." She rolled her eyes at me and stopped talking to me.

Am I the asshole?
