Anybody FIRE on $2500 USD a month? How comfortable is life?

I am mainly interested in living in Mexico, rest of LATAM or SE Asia but possibly open to Eastern Europe or the Balkans. I’m pretty frugal and don’t go out a lot but I do enjoy going on adventures so that’s probably where most of my money would go after food and rent.

How to best go about obtaining visas with no defined plan?

Hey all, I am an American planning next year to spend about 6 months or so in SE Asia solo backpacking. I am planning at the very least to visit the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and possibly more countries like China, Nepal and Indonesia. So far I have only booked my flight to the Philippines and nothing else. I am trying to keep my plans as flexible as possible and avoid any hard commitments which is a problem when the visas as asking for exact dates and border crossings.

How much of a problem would it be requesting a visa a few weeks out?
Can anyone with a similar experience share how they handled it?

s it worth getting into real estate to build more wealth or just stick to stocks?

I am 25 with currently 200k in the stock market spilt between a Roth IRA, TSP and taxable accounts. For a long time I’ve had an interest into getting into a real estate to build consistent cash flow, also live for free or very cheaply by doing a house hack to start off with.

Some additional info about me I am an American veteran that has access to the VA loan ( zero down payment on a house) and I get roughly $2500 a month in tax free compensation. My ultimate goal is to move abroad and live a chill life. I am not mechanically inclined and have zero idea how to do house maintenance. I’m single with no kids.

Is 3 months in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia too long?

I am planning to spend 3 months backpacking in those counties starting in August. However, I have previously visited Colmbia and Peru.

In Colombia I’ve been to Bogota, Guatape and Medellin for a 10 day period.

In Peru I spent 2 weeks doing Peru Hop from Lima to Cusco.

For my upcoming trip to Colombia I was planning to land in Cartegena and focus on the coast including Santa Marta and maybe Barranquilla for the beach vibes and then head south.

For Peru, I was interested in visiting Iquitos to possibly do Ayahusca. But other than that city I’m not sure where else to go.

I’ve never been to Bolivia before. So I was thinking about spending the majority of my time there and possibly book a flight to visit Patagonia. Any thoughts? I am trying to keep things as flexible as possible.

My main interests are hiking, scuba diving and anything adventurous

Long term travel abroad, should I cancel my T-Mobile line ahead of time?

I am planning to spend 6 months to a year backpacking across South America and Asia. I currently have the T-Mobile military plan for $80 a month.

Will T-Mobile cancel my line after so much time abroad? Can I get a better deal by using another e sim company?

I am 25 and had the VA do a testerone test in March and came back at 400 which the VA said is within range. However I feel like 400 is pretty low for a 25 physically healthy male. Not to mention I suffer from depression (50%), bad memory, lack of motivation and energy, and chronic pain.

Can any younger vets share their experience with TRT?
