So Back around 2009-2010, I was very much into Gran Turismo after playing GT5 Prologue. I played some of the older titles on the PS2 and watched videos of E3 footage for Gran Turismo 5. During that time, I discovered Tourist Trophy, a spin-off of GT4 with motorcycles, released back on the PS2. The game didn’t get much attention, so a sequel never came to fruition.

However, I discovered a trailer on YouTube or Dailymotion that showed off a potential sequel.
The trailer showed motorcycles racing on the Daytona road course and shots of the garages, much like the
trailers for GT5 Prologue. The trailer could have been released between 2007-2008.

Since seeing that trailer, I have never seen it again.
There have been other trailers that were wiped from the internet. Like the Gran Turismo 6 track editor app, which would allow you to make tracks from your phone’s GPS.

I’ve played Liberty City and Vice City extended mods and they are incredible with how it fixes and modernized games from 25 years ago. Will there very be something similar or is rockstar gonna block it like what they did with that fan made mod pack?

I wanted to make this post because I’m curious if others feel the same way, and to bring more attention to an issue that has been bothering me.

I purchased several mods from Sim Vendor before the DRM launcher was introduced. At the time, there was no expectation that these purchases would later become locked behind a launcher that requires logging into Steam just to access content I already paid for.

The biggest issue for me isn’t just the launcher itself—it’s that customers no longer have direct access to the files they purchased. For many in the Assetto Corsa modding community, editing files, creating skins, making compatibility patches, improving physics, or simply learning how mods are built has always been part of the hobby. The new DRM effectively prevents that.
The owner has stated that a way to modify the files would be added in the future, but weeks have passed without any implementation. So far, it feels like empty promises, and communication has been limited.

I understand the desire to fight piracy. Mod creators deserve to be compensated for their work. However, DRM that restricts legitimate customers often ends up inconveniencing the people who actually supported the creators financially, while pirates frequently find ways around these systems anyway.

Another concern is what many community members have pointed out regarding Histrionic Sim Studios’ stance on intellectual property. They appear willing to enforce certain IP issues when it benefits them, while building content based on copyrighted vehicles and brands themselves. Whether or not people agree with that criticism, it has led many to question the consistency of their position.

At the end of the day, I don’t think paying customers should lose rights they originally had after purchasing a product. If a creator wants to introduce DRM for future releases, that’s one thing. But retroactively locking previously purchased content behind a launcher feels unfair.

Hello,

I’m working on saving up and getting a RP6 and give my 5 to my wife. I wanna get another Dock so I can play on my Bedroom/Desk/livingroom Etc.

I wanna get a wireless controller. I do have a 8bitdoSnes pro but the bluetooth really gives latency.

Anybody have any good cheap suggestions for a controller that will help?
