(ID: 8953624407) Is there still a way I could have salvaged this match?

Match ID: 8953624407

Slardar who has first blood and an XP lead decides to TP mid and disrupt our Zeus because I was ganking and stealing DK's runes.

His main reason for throwing was that I "was helping mid more than Offlane"

For reference, the Waves were crashing on our side, which is why he has a level lead over the Safelane, and the Windrunner has no killthreat on him before Level 6, so I was much more focused on giving the Zeus a running start and we already killed the DK once. I was just roaming for the first Power Rune when Slardar has enough Solo Laning and decided to TP mid and steal Zeus' lane.

Naturally we adjusted first and Zeus started laning offlane and he's two level above the safelane so we were ok at first until we see Slardar die to the overleveled DK back to back and then he started ganking and it snowballed from there.

I am just, so flaberghasted and naturally could only do so much to salvage as a support. But the enemies' tempo lineup went online and they got megacreeps before 40 mins.

When asking the Slardar, he could not coherently reply with a justification for his throw, and could only fling racist insults at us in broken English.

It's the first time I'm using the avoid player feature using Dota Plus.

Any PH DnD groups na alam kayo?

Intimidating saaken yung DnD in the past pero parang once na may character sheet kana at imagination pwede kana sumali.

So I'm guessing the main way online is to play with people on Discord. Or baka may FB group.

To the guy who made that Undying post last week thanks for the free MMR man.

not 80% but 66% wr so far

I pretty much have the gameplan down if anyone's interested in the comments.

Copied my gameplan from one of the comments.

Minute zero I take
tango
salve
all 4 mangoes
blood grenade
smoke
1 obs and sen each

As soon as game loads I insta smoke to mid and place a ward in front of our Mid tower.

This way we can spot if enemy places any mid wards (already game winning for the midlaner)

Then it's the usual rune fight don't be greedy but use your body to protect the other teammates since dying for rune isnt gonna affect your game.

Then for the laning phase spam your Q on the enemy offlaner exclusively, if they stay punish but they will learn to get scared of you. I like this playstyle since you get to ignore the enemy support.

Fight as hard as you can for control of the pull camps (even if you place a sentry a 0:59 and it gets dewarded they lose 2 waves to pull sometimes that's enough.)

You will get beat up, don't worry about the Arcane boots for now just keep buying regen (I personally keep buying more mangoes, clarities and salves until laning phase is over)

Save your Tomb to fight for Objectives (Objectives include, the Lotuses, the Offlane Wisdom rune, if the enemy Offlane manages to pull or even stack pull their Medium Camp go contest that with your Carry)

I LOVE fighting for Wisdom Runes. Both Radiant and Dire Wisdom runes have a cliff where you can put your Tombstone and they will not be able to attack it. always make sure to have it ready when you contest.

Skill build. Max Q first then W, get 1 point of Tombstone at level 2.

Mid game you have to decide on your next item after Arcane boots, a good player will know based on the game. But here are a few examples.

I get Locket if I know we are winning and want to push the advantage with even more healing.
I get Pipe if the enemy has heavy magic damage.
I get Ghost Scepter or Glimmer if the enemy likes aiming for supports.
If I don't know what to buy Guardian Greaves is always good.

If the enemy are bursting your carry or you are losing in general I build Shard and then Aether Lens after, there's no point in fronting if your behind so do your best to save your carry and keep them healed.

As you can see most of these games end around 35 minutes so it's pretty action packed.

Gonna drop some replay codes but I'm just an Archon shitter.

BANS: Lion, Mirana, Grimstroke, (annoying fucks), Razor and Medusa (you can't fight them)
Good Teammates: ANY META RANGED CARRY cuz those fuckers love to kill an Offlaner with missing Strength

Bonus mention to Phantom Lancer, giga charges your W heals, just remember to click his portrait so you dont accidentally heal an Illusion.

TLDR: Undying Early Game is super busted so you abuse him to boost your team into the Midgame. If the game goes past 40 mins your winrate drops super hard. Ban: Lion, Mirana, Grimstroke, Razor, Medusa.

All my loses I still won the lane but you can't control when mustards feed in other lanes just accept that.

I don't buy that Astyanax couldn't be spared. Odysseus could have saved him and still kept Ithaca perfectly safe.

https://preview.redd.it/l3vfvrirmceh1.png?width=427&format=png&auto=webp&s=89498d970418bc0cd80771b724d93b9e622cf3bf

I don't buy that the Gods could turn this boy into Kratos. What if he was raised by Odysseus with total Transparency. I can imagine his mind being poisoned with a lust for power and (claiming his birthright).

But what if Ody took him and Andromache surely the mother is smart enough to prefer this over being a prisoner.

Sure yeah, Hector is dead. But what kind of kid who grows up with his Mother (and a father figure in Odysseus) want to take Revenge? If anyone dares to bully him, they know better than to go against their king, or what this boy was prophesied to do, to farm any ill will towards him.

I see two paths so far. Ody walks down the cliff with the baby still alive and tries to bring him and his mother back to the ships. Zeus gets mad and sinks all of them and dababy still dies. But at least Ody keeps his humanity. (This might conflict with how much of a simp he is to his wife and cause a dilemma)

The other path is they reach Ithaca and now this baby has spent more time with the Greeks than with the Trojans.

I know that at any time the Gods can blow them to Kingdom come and the argument falls apart.

What I'm trying to say is, I don't believe dababy can just be handwaved to sack Ithaca the moment he is old and grown enough to. Not with the right upbringing and transparency, (Like I could Ody being real with him his whole life and saying sorry for Troy, but he could not kill him) like come on, this is not an original thing (Raised by Rival - TV Tropes)

I will be surprised by any counter arguments, this is one of the more fleshed out ideas I had while on the shitter

I have yet to see a single Candyworks post here where they rolled the Techies Arcana

Did they remove it from the pool?

I want to protect my PC. Surge Protector vs AVR vs UPS?

I don't really mind losing some work because of the brownouts this rainy season. My main concern is protecting my PC from damage caused by power fluctuations.

When I built my gaming PC, I was living in a condo where power outages were rare. I've since moved back to my hometown, where brownouts and power flickers are much more common, especially during bad weather.

Looking back, I wish I'd included a UPS in my original budget. Now I'm wondering if I should start saving for one.

I've seen a lot of terms thrown around, like surge protector, AVR, and UPS, and I'm a bit confused about what each one actually does.

For the sole purpose of protecting my gaming PC and helping it last as long as possible, do I really need a UPS? Or is a surge protector or AVR enough? For reference, I'm currently using a Huntkey surge protector as my power strip.

I'd appreciate any advice, especially from people who deal with frequent brownouts or unstable power.

Happy Father's day to all the Dad gamers out there!

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers in this subreddit.

My father is the reason I became a gamer and nerd today, and I am grateful that for a time he was both a hardcore gamer and a father who shared that world with me.

He introduced me to the classic RTS games of the 2000s. He also passed down his love for movies and pop culture. A lot of what I enjoy today started with him showing me those things early on.

Some of my earliest memories are watching him play, asking questions, and eventually playing alongside him. Those moments shaped how I saw games and the internet growing up.

To all the dads here who share their hobbies with their kids, big or small, it matters more than you think. Those moments stick.

Happy Father’s Day.
