About AI art color filter (because click has asked a couple times)

I've seen a couple videos where TheClick asked about specifically, the Piss Filter (the yellow color grading in AI images)

The AI models sampled heavily the work of David Revoy - who draws a lot of fantasy themed work, often with a mild sepia tone for aesthetics. You'll also see a lot of his visual elements such as face and eye shape incorporated from his work

AI models also borrow heavily from Mario Zucca, as seen with the hatched shading. Basic construction of the bodies and environments were also copied wholesale from his work.

I did post this on the Click discord, but it was a kind of a wall of text, which they didn't like for obvious reasons

TLDR - the sepia tone from David Revoys work was over incorporated as the "piss filter"

Peasant of Tryia: stuff of legends

I feel like making a legendary item has become something of a benchmark of progress.

I have been playing since pre beta but I just do not have the time/focus/executive function to get it done.

So I'll just have to DO Legendary things

Edit: I appreciate all the comments! I want to reply to everyone, but there are just so many!

Demmi Beetlestone - if that IS your real name!!!!!! (minor early game spoiler)

in the Order of Whispers story - Tybal Leftclaw - if you take the 'serve as a distraction' option uses mesmer magic to become a copy of Demmi Beetlestone so that she can escape her father's informants

Tybalt's voice remains unchanged.

GuildWars ReDrawn: he's right behind me....isn't he?

Tyrian worms are large burrowing creatures that burrow through the earth, tunneling through all manner of terrain, notably even establishing their colonies in hard stone, desert and snowy environments.

Only when provoked worms will defend themselves by attacking with objects thrown from their mouths and hide in the ground. Worms do not, even in the case of attack, move from their locations.

The worms of Tyria – not to be confused with larger Wurms- stand apart from their garden variety counterparts in a number of notable ways.

The worms of Tyria have between 8 and 10 long teeth above their mouth accompanied by 3 tooth like pincers. Given their docile nature it is unlikely that their teeth are used to hunt prey. One would speculate that these are used to pull apart plant matter or carrion as the lack of a solid lower jaw, lower teeth or tongue cause difficulty breaking down meat and bone. As a caveat it should be noted that on at least one occasion, a worm has been seen eating a devouerer egg, which may indicate these are opportunistic feeders.

Whereas most worms are hermaphrodites, the worms of Tyria have a matriarchal society built around a single female queen, this queen is larger, stronger and more aggressive than her male counterparts. If the queen is attacked, any of the smaller male worms will come to her aid and pelt the attacker. If the queen is misplaced or killed, most of the male worms will leave the area soon after, though some may remain.

Further separating them from their fishing bait family members, Worms have a hard, segmented exoskeleton, likely an adaptation to support their impressive size. The presence of an exoskeleton, coupled with the scale of the creatures likely means that Worms are incapable of the gas exchange system their diminutive family members use, which would necessitate the presence of lungs. Which may explain why they spend so much time above ground.

Through the phenomenon of Batesian Mimicry or perhaps a divine sense of humor, worms exactly resemble the larval offspring of Wurms, their far more aggressive and dangerous cousins.

In conclusion; Worms are not worms, but neither are they Wurms.

GuildWars ReDrawn: All Aloe'n

Aloes are first encountered in outside Ascalon city in Lakeside County.
This first variant - the Aloe Seed holds the distinction of not only being one of, if not the only, level 0 creatures in Tyria. To compound this weakness, this creature actually has negative armor values against slashing and burning.

Lacking any offensive capabilities this version of the Aloe will only attempt to heal itself until it falls in battle after being hit by anything stronger than a light breeze.

As they grow, Aloes, and their cousins "Crown of Thorns' and 'Life Pods" do learn stronger offensive spells, never straying however from the Monk skill tree. While this connection to the divine may allude to larger implications, no information on the subject is available.

The docile nature of Aloe Seeds may be due to the abundant water and natural resources of their time. Because of the plentiful water, rich soil, abundant sunlight and lack of natural competitors, they can forgo their carnivorous nature almost completely.

Once resources become more scarce, or environments become more inhospitable, we start to see the Aloes take a more aggressive approach to survival, ambushing their prey, often in groups.

The ambush tactic employed by these carnivorous plants is likely facilitated though sensing vibrations in the soil until their prey is close enough to be caught off guard. As Aloes lack any type of visual sensory organ, so it is likely they continue to use vibration to target prey above ground as well.

Their thick bark and predatory nature allow them to survive in such inhospitable locations such as The Shiverspeaks mountain range, the Maguuma jungle which teems with other plant species and the desolate ruins of Old Ascalon.

It may be worth noting that the Crown of Thorns variant does seem to have something of a unique appearance. The leaf like vertical plate that stands up from the back of most Aloes is replaced with a wider, more complex, spined layer. The mouth also appears to be much more complex and well as having an armor like bark plating on their ‘forearm’.

Drew my Warrior Wearing Canthan armor

I feel like I haven't posted in forever! With school getting out, the announcement of Guildwars 3 and the impending release of Guildwars Reforged mobile I've been a bit overwhelmed.

Posting every 2-4 days for the past few months may have lead to some minor burn out too.

Hopefully I'll have something fun to share soon! (After I get some rest)
