European vs American XR650R headlight

Can anyone confirm that there is indeed a difference in the OEM Honda XR650R headlight in the European version vs the American version?

I’m in the process of planning a street legal conversion build in here the states and really like this headlight or an aftermarket like this. It’s my understanding that this larger light came stock in the bikes sold in Europe. I like the idea of having the option of being able to use the various aftermarket 4”x6” LED lamps. I’d like to find one of these light shrouds for my build.

P.S. if this is your bike I used for this picture I’d like to know more about your build :)

Dream of the fractal nature of creation.

I had a dream where I witnessed the fractal nature of creation. It began where I saw all the worlds people as we currently are as I zoomed out I saw them combine into larger entities. I continued to zoom out and could see other groups had done the same, creating other separate and individual entities. As I continued to zoom out gaining a broader and broader perspective this pattern continued over and over again infinitely. This process continued without end.

Witnessing this made me think about how protons, neutrons, and electrons make up elements. Elements make up cells, cells make up organs/systems, and organs/systems make up bodies.
If one cell fights against another it disrupts the system. Same as if it’s person against person, family against family, community against community, country against country and so on.

As these units continue to combine “gods” form. Then gods as individuals, families, communities, etc. this pattern of creation never ends and is all part of one perfect design.

When contention occurs at any level it disrupts the plan because we are individual parts of the same thing, we are all one.

I’m considering buying a XR600R for a dualsport/commuter build. Back in the late 2000’s I had an uncorked 650R and wired it for lights to make it street legal. I had it for a few years and sold it, I should have kept it. At the same time my dad had a 1993 650L and we did a lot of trails and two tracks. When we’d swap bikes I was pretty disappointed with the 650L, it felt heavy, soft, and sluggish.

So fast forward to today. I’m looking to buy a 600R to get back into it. Something about the old air cooled beast appeals to me. I used to mechanic at a local Honda dealership back in the day so any upgrades and maintenance would be second nature for me.

I’ve thought doing a 10.5:1 or 11:1 piston, mild cam, and an FCR carb would still be pretty reliable yet still have good performance. With those upgrades will I still be left wanting when compared to my old BRP?

Any insights would be appreciated.
