No way I spent multiple hours on the training just for them to tell me its $25 per task and not $40 an hour, as originally stated. What a fucking mess. The work is way too tedious for that, especially when they state a task can be released after up to 4 HOURS. Audio transcription is so dull because there's nothing else you can do alongside it to keep you entertained, which is usually what I enjoy when it comes to remote jobs. Has anyone worked on the project? Is it worth it?

What music do you guys listen to while working?

Entirely out of my own interest hahah

I'm on the 23k big project and I find I have to focus slightly too hard on the content to watch a TV show or anything in the background

Task In Progress

Feeling plagued by every task I click on no longer showing as unavailable but instead being claimed by someone else. Feels like claiming a task takes so much longer now as I aggressively try and click the Unclaimed button the fastest.

I hate this platform but the money is too good to stop trying.

Initial skill verification

I've just completed the first initial assessment of the onboarding process. I thought I had completed it to a high standard, my screen was recorded throughout and I didn't use any external tools or anything like that, yet it's appearing as failed. The website states I will get an email regarding next steps but I have yet to receive anything. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way around it? Can I reattempt the test?

Background checks

I submitted a background check through Zinc about 5 days ago but have yet to hear back from the service and my Mercor application still says 'waiting on you.' How long have other's had to wait for background checks to be completed in the past?

I was walking down park street last night and watched a young woman getting shouted at, threatened by, and pushed by a man. He was clearly gearing up to get more violent.

I immediately ran to help. Thankfully she has confirmed to me that she’s home safe now.

My main gripe here is that there were about 15 people walking in front of me who did absolutely nothing to help this poor girl. Plenty of people gawping and acting as passive bystanders, but it took me running across a busy main road for anyone to actually intervene.

Disappointed in you Bristol, do better.
