Face-framing fishtail braids

I did these French braid style, so you start with a small amount of hair, after parting a small section, and gradually add in more hair as you complete each fishtail braid. I chose sections that tended to fall on her face.

After trying several other fasteners, I settled on these tried and true, damage-free hair elastics. They were best suited for Summer’s fine — and also very straight — hair texture.

✅ Hair brushed through.
✅ Minimal detangling.
✅ Temporarily braided.

⏯️ Waiting for loom loops for hair fastening.

🔜 Planning on French braids. Hopefully later tonight when 📦 arrives.

She came with her meet outfit and most of her meet accessories — plus this promo tee shirt from her initial release — however, not with her glasses.

Since I need to get her glasses anyway, does anyone have recommendations for glasses suited for this [18 inch AG doll] girl with low-vision // visual impairment?

Have American Girl dolls with blonde eyelashes ever existed? And if so, which ones — names, collections, etc?

Extra points if they have red or strawberry blonde hair…

I remember feeling out of place with this feature as a kid; my eyelashes and eyebrows are very pale (basically white // colorless).

I would have loved seeing a doll that looked like me — in this way — when I was a kid (and honestly as an adult woman in my mid-30s still would).
