Today my trust 5D3 and 400 5.6L got caught in some rushing water for 5 or so seconds on a river. Camera started firing off and all sorts of stuff popped up on the LCD display before I could removed the battery. Mirror is locked up, shutter down, lots of moisture in it. Lens has moisture in it as well but dont see a bunch of standing water.

Body is insured for $600

Lens is insured for $1000

So what, am I boned? Do I file a claim? Do I replaced with the same gear? Time for the mirrorless switch?

Had the body for about 10 years and the Lens for 17, first L lens that captured some amazing shots. Absolutely heartbroken right now.

Hey all!

I just replaced my old 2015 model with an M5 pro and hopped back into my steam library and wanted to re-play Cave Story but apparently the 32 Bit isn't supported.... any way around this or am I doomed to have to buy a windows version and play in crossover? I just don't want to have to purchase it again.

Need some help sifting through things

M3 Pro 36gb is $2k "lightly" used

M5 Pro 24gb is $2.5k new

I currently have a 2015 Quad i7 and need to upgrade so I can accutually have up to date software again and flat out use some newer software. Using it for office work and 8k/4k 360° video editing/processing along with photo editing. I would like this computer to last another 10 years before I NEED to upgrade again

I do have the option so spend another $350 $for 48gb but that really feels like overkill. Also, is apple care worth it? I don't remember ever needing it, but I'm sure it's coverage has changed since 2015, lol.

All thoughts and input appreciated, so excited to be buying my 3rd MacBook Pro. Snow Leopard was my first Mac OS and I havent looked back to PC's since!
