Update on Lewes road mugging

Once again didn’t know what to title this post but figured I’d give an update to this to say thanks to all the people who gave some solid advice & information on the last post.

My headphones have since been recovered by the police and are now back with me (a bit damaged on the outside but otherwise work the same as before). Apparently the guy who mugged me has continued to do so to other people, with the police mentioning they’ve recovered 8 stolen pairs of headphones that he’s pawned off and have multiple CCTV footages of him mugging people, and so he will be getting arrested now that they’ve identified him.

As far as I’m aware each victim now may also be entitled to compensation for injury/distress. A secondary update would be a few days after the incident I also did discover he managed to injure my neck from the way I was grabbed.

Not much more I can say other than stay safe out there, or if you get mugged always report it because you never know what can be done about it.
