Was It worth the headache? Absolutely!!!!

HINA-SAN KAWAII!!!

Watching youtube( after I finally fixed pipewire and wireplumber)

Ghelper to mostly control the hardware and the keyboard lighting

obligatory neofetch(with stuff happening in the back ground

Man that's a small footprint(idle)

For reference before I jumped to artix(win11 idle)

Finally made the jump to artix in my gaming laptop(though I'm no stranger to Linux at this point as I have used mint, and Debian for almost two years now) now the path here is not easy (I did use a vm to nail the process of base install of artix) . Post boot the stuff that I decided to do are :

1.configure snapper

  1. set up ghelper for linux(link : https://github.com/utajum/g-helper-linux )

  2. make audio working (pipewire , wireplumber)

After that I decided to rest, It took me 5 hours to install this thing cause the first try didn't work due to me mounting the wrong directories( skill issue) and another 3 just to get those 3 working. Now Im jsut going to deal with:

  1. Nvidia drivers

2.screen brightness

3.further artix optimization

  1. configuring i3 keybinds

5.Steam(proton gaming)

  1. prollly ricing my sddm and i3 setup a bit?

But man I'm currently happy that I finally moved my gaming laptop to linux(don't get me wrong, windows worked well but with the current issues on it that kinda pushed me to move to linux and Im kinda broke to upgrade my system). My advice for the others jumping to a systemd less system? invest your time in reading the wiki, learning it (its fine to use ai just make sure to learn what the commands are so you know what youre getting yourself into) and consider your needs( for me moving to linux is easy because most the stuff I use are already native or compatible with linux when I was still in windows). last thing you want is you not doing the thing you need. Again happy to be part of the artix community and do expect me having me some inquires about artix!! GODSPEED!!!

oh last thing I use Artix+openrc and system is the notebook pc Asus tuf a15 FA507NUR( ryzen 7 7435hs with rtx 4050).

I'm blue, da-ba-dee, da-ba-di

finally joined the kernel panic gang

(context: I'm intentionally breaking the linux os to try using snapper rollback in a live iso in a vm)

Battery replacement road plan

based on the title...I want some advice about battery in tuf's( considering I dont even have any igpu also ) so I do expect that my battery life would tank greatly in my coming college days. Currently Im sitting with 86% after 2.5 years of some heavy use( mostly blender and video editing). What battery life percentage should I consider a battery replacement? Thank you for taking your time to answer btw and have a good day.

deco pro gen2 xlw: good upgrade or nah

Currently I am planning to finally get a large graphic tablet to replace my small no name tablet that I currently use( and the only one large tablet that fits my budget), The one im eyeing of is the deco pro gen2 xlw(the large one), I have the table size to accommodate it and I use linux ( with openrc). I want the raw review from those who have bought and use it so I can finally steel my resolve in buying it.

Big shapes to small shapes in practice

Good morning evening to you all, As the title suggests, im currently practicing the idea of using large shape before going to small details. The things is Im still not sure about some of the process of using this method on how to properly construct it, making sure that the object or character doesn't feel off. any tips is appreciated!

Good morning and evening to you all. I want to ask if Tiny 11 is good enough for a college student's needs? The course is in computer science. The context is: I'm tired of recall always being enabled, and the large RAM consumption. My college of choice didn't allow Linux to be used due to most professors not being familiar with it, or some software needed in my program not being available in Linux. I do plan to dual-boot it. Thanks for taking the time to read and reply!
