I wanted to boot from the Ventoy usb with MX Linux and load the whole ISO into ram and then eject the usb with the installation media,but it doesn't let me eject it or unmount it,saying the drive is already active even if the usb led's don't flicker,keep in mind I already used toram so I should be able to actually eject it,one person said that physically taking the usb is safe since everything is already loaded and nothing is being written on the flash drive but I want more opinions on this.

I can't get it to work at all,im using ventoy and when I add toram after quiet splash,it just boots and doesn't let me eject the usb,any help is appreciated

Ventoy memdisk

I want to boot from linux mint with memdisk so I can remove the usb flash drive after it finishes booting into the live environment,but I can't get it to work,I have 8gb ddr3 ram on my laptop but it just says no installation medium found after some time(the Linux mint logo appears after the iso loads into ram and I click on start linux mint)

Any recommendations on which linux distro to try that would work with memdisk? I just need to have a live OS environment,not to actually install an OS,so any help is appreciated.

Would the usb with ventoy on it be compromised as well,or can I reuse it?

Could I use ventoy with multiple ISOs to boot into linux mint and mount an e waste hard drive to format it to avoid malware of some sorts,or to check for the contents of it safely? my idea was to disconnect my main drive and boot into the usb so I don't accidentally get infected on my main drive,is there any danger to it,like using ventoy vs rufus,or is ventoy going to be alright?

I want to backup a few games that I've got from GOG,Mafia 2 and Saints row 2,now I want to backup only the save data and not the game itself,does going to appdata and finding the folder of the game and saving it to another hard drive work? Also when I download the game on a different pc,can I just paste the game save folder in appdata again?

I just installed Ventoy and used it to just check if its going to load,and it asked me to enroll the key which I did,now my question is,since there is now an F assigned letter for VTOYEFI,will it ask me to enroll again on a different PC if I wanted to install an OS?

I'm running windows 10 on a 11 year old HP laptop,R5 A8 7410 CPU with 8gb ram, and sometimes when I shutdown the message pops up saying WER fault is preventing shutdown,I ran full windows defender scans (scanned about 600k files) and didn't have any threats(didn't think I'd have any viruses,the only thing that would be deemed suspicious would be downloading sodium for minecraft from modrinth)

I've read this could be a ram issue as well or some other errors in windows,now this laptop is so ancient I wouldn't be surprised if it was a ram issue,I didn't have any BSOD but my laptop shutdown once mid virus scan,I suspect it was the cpu overheating since I never even changed the thermal paste or dusted out the fans so who knows.

Should I be concerned? My cpu usage is pretty low though about 3% I think
