Good morning/afternoon/evening, I have thought about making my own lil faction for a while now but have come across two problems. 1. I dunno how to, well, actually make a functioning discord with bots and all that stuff, I have friends who can help me out with that stuff though so thats an easy fix. 2. I actually, dont know what I wanna make lmao.
So I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you fine people of this freedom loving community, mind you, alot of this is WIP and it's basically me attempting to put notes I randomly jot down into words so it may not be well worded or make sense at times, and for that, I apologize.
First lets start off with some of the unit names I've thought of.
802nd Shock Corps
3rd Creek Marines
7th Mars Scions
8th Moradesh Guard
23rd Liberties Hounds
Now some quick Lil lore tidbits on the units
802nd Shock Corps originate from the planet Reguns and specialize in Shock and Awe tatics. The 802nd are Helldivers who operate effectively as Shock Troopers, designed to take territory as quickly as possible while inflicting as much damage as possible on the enemies of liberty. The 802nd are trained specifically to breach enemy lines in order to pave the way for counter attacks or to give SEAF and other Helldivers an opening to assault the enemy effectively, even if that means sustaining a high casualty rate. Despite this, recruits and veterans alike are ready, and willing, to do what must be done in order to successfully give Super Earth a foothold on any planet.
3rd Creek Marines originate from the swampy planet of Mavelon Creek, during the early months of the 2nd galactic war, many helldivers were found to operate extremely well as Assault Infantry, utilizing whatever they could to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy, or repel the enemy with fire and close combat. Due to this the 3rd was formed of battle hardened Helldivers who preferred to fight the enemy quickly and make haste to the next objective. Since the liberation of The Creek, the 3rd has decided that while Mavelon Creek will remain their home and where they will get their recruits from, being able to quickly deploy to any front in under 4 hours would strategically be more sound, thus making the 3rd Creek Marines a Fleet Based regiment where they train and live on their super destroyers for easier access to deployments and assaults.
7th Mars Scions are the sons and daughters of prestigious Class-A citzens or Helldivers who were granted C-01 Permits. Due to nature of the Scions backgrounds, many would begin their training at a younger age, learning exactly how to effectively and efficiently remove tryanny from the bodies of the enemies of super earth. The Scions train with the best equipment that Super Earth can give and have become very effective Hit and Run fighters, using Warp Packs, Jump Packs, and Hoverpacks to gain an advantage and then quickly leave the area before the enemy would even know what hit them. Since the razing of Mars, the 7th Mars Scions have since moved their schools training grounds, and equipment, back to Super Earth where the 7th Mars Scions would have better access to recruitment and equipment.
8th Moradesh Guard originated from the now Fractured Planet, Moradesh. The 8th are effective and professional Urban Warfare fighters and are effective at holding the line and launching counter attacks. The 8th stood its ground when the Merdian Singularity made its approach and swore that Moradesh would not become the next Angels Venture, the 8th fought long and hard and even made ground while successfully defending the planets Class - C citzens and ensuring they were able to reach evacuation sites without many casualties. However, while the Guard held the line, as they did for many times over, the Singularity still pressed its advance and reached Moradesh, members of the 8th Moradesh Guard and the citizens who had successfully evacuated said that they could still hear the howling yells of liberty coming from the planet even as it broke. The 8th Moradesh Guard are now a fleet based regiment with one promise, "Never Again."
23rd Liberties Hounds originate from the planet Rasp, the 23rd are violent savages who are down right zealots in the name of Liberty, this is due to the nature of their homeworld causing them to be as agressive as possible in order to cause as much damage as possible over an extended deployment. The Hounds are a light infantry regiment that focus solely on destruction of tyrant infrastructure, whether it be bug, squid, or bot. The Hounds have found their calling in spreading the sweet touch of liberty and biting down on those who refuse it. The Hounds have found themselves to purposely run into the thick of fighting armed with with their capes, armor made from scavenged parts of Helldivers and SEAF, and their own fists and hellbombs strapped to their backs. They seek nothing more, then a spot on the wall of Martyrs and a high killcount.
And so thats basically it, I don't expect people to fully read everything and probably just skim it, hell I would lmao, but any advice or opinions I will gladly take. Oh and if you couldn't tell by now, I am an avid Astra Militarum fan, specifically for Cadia (its almost like these are knock of Cadian Regiments, minus the Scions). Again, please feel free to share any thoughts you have, even if it is just to say I suck at lore writing lmao, thank you again all.

How to Skirmish using Light Infantry
I got the basics down, taking the bayonet off, flanking, crouching, attempting to be a menace to enemy lines. But what are some good tips and tricks that other light infantry players know, I did use Line Infantry to Skirmish and it worked very well but I really, REALLY, wanna make Light Infantry work, any tips?
