New-to-me PlexAmp interface

Noticed this morning that the PlexAmp interface in my car's Android Auto infotainment had updated to this curly scrubber and cleaner buttons. Has this been a thing for a while and I'm just getting the update, or is this brand new... because I haven't seen anyone mentioning it yet. Not sure how I feel about it, but at least it's an update.

Plex bare metal PLUS docker

Just a simple question... can you run Plex on bare metal, alongside docker containers for the arrs and side apps? Or do you have to migrate the Plex installation to a container as well? Not really looking for the pros and cons, just trying to understand if it's technically possible.

Casting from Web UI works, but not casting from PlexAmp

It's my day for PlexAmp headaches, I guess.

I have a headless PlexAmp running on a Raspberry Pi that's been working for quite a while. Today, I went to cast to it via PlexAmp on my phone. PlexAmp sees the Pi and connects fine. But when I try to play anything, I get about 2 seconds of audio before it stops. The Playing Now screen in PlexAmp jumps back to the track selector. It does this whether I'm trying to play a track, album or playlist.

However, casting from the Web UI on my desktop (PMS, not PlexAmp) to this same headless Pi works fine.

I tried checking for an update to the Pi, and it looks like I'm running the latest. My phone and the Pi are on the same network.

I'm at a loss.

Plex keeps disappearing artists

If I add files for a new music artist to my NAS, and select Scan Library Files, sometimes half my artists just disappear (literally... 999 artist folders on my NAS, right now only 498 show up in the local Web UI). It takes several "Scan Library Files" more for them to start showing up again. Like I just did another scan and now I'm up to 511. If I do another scan, I'll probably get a couple hundred more.

All my media is sorted through Picard, so I'm reasonably sure all the metadata is accurate and files are properly named and saved.

The NAS doesn't exhibit any problems, and I'm confident it's not asleep when I kick off scans (I just copied files over, and I'm browsing the filesystem).

It seems to happen most when other processes are showing on the dashboard (like recording from HD Homerun, or someone watching/playing other media), but not always.

I wouldn't mind so much, *except* that the artists are true and truly "gone" so they get removed from playlists that I spent long hours curating and aren't returned to the playlists once they finally return in the UI.

Anyone else have any issues like this?

I made a quick stop this morning to drop the dog off at the groomer. No issues driving there. Pulled into the parking space, put it in park, turned the car off. Ushered the dog into the place, checked in... all of *maybe* 2 minutes. Got back out to the car and tried to push the brake pedal so I could hit the start button. It would not budge, felt like I was stepping on concrete. Not only could I not depress it, but it was pulsing as if the ABS was activated. No warnings/complaints on the dash about obstructions or anything else, just one pop-up about "please press brake pedal before pressing start". Sat there for a good 5 minutes, unable to press the pedal. Then suddenly, finally, the pedal went down and everything acted as normal and I was able to start the car. One pedal driving was off.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas about a cause? I haven't had any other issues, and braking was just fine once I got it going.
