Is there a better time in the year to date than July / August?

Hey all

So I have been dating over summer with a few people but as it has got into August, it became way more difficult with family plans coming in for people and people being on holidays etc

Do any of you find that dating is better in a sense in October / November time when the summer holiday season have passed but it has not quite the winter holiday season yet?

Also, some people say January - February is a great time as well? Let me know your thoughts 👋🏽

Dated 26 (F) who I can’t tell if I was used as a distraction or genuinely stepped back?

Hey everyone, looking for an objective outside perspective on a dating situation that’s keeping me up. I met a girl on Hinge (her profile said "figuring out my dating goals"), and we went on four really good dates over a few weeks with good effort, some good text exchanges, and voice notes here and there. There was also some kissing and smooching across the dates

The Setup: She was freshly out of a past relationship (1 month when we had our first date), actively moving into her own place, and under heavy work stress. For more context, she has been in 3 previous relationships before but no more longer than a year with each guy. With her job, she works in a family letting agency so it more than the typical 9-5 and is expected in a way to deal with anything that does pop up, whether that ie early or late at night

The Shift: There was a 2.5-week gap between dates 2 and 3 due to her move out of her home, but she stayed in touch and made Dates 3 and 4 happen. After a nice cinema date on Sunday, the new week hit and her energy completely dropped. She didn’t message and didn’t reply to the TikTok I sent her but she hearted my insta story the next day which was an old holiday photo of me.

The Exit: She messaged me 3 days after date 4 saying that she felt that at this point of her life, she didn’t want anything serious and explicitly said, "I don't want to lead you on!" while acknowledging my effort. I accepted it gracefully and walked away. Her exact message was this:

Hey hunny, I was doing some reflection and I have really enjoyed getting to know you but I think at this point in my life I am not looking to get into anything serious, and I don’t want to lead you on !

The Aftermath: Her Hinge profile has stayed completely dormant/untouched as we still have our chat in our hinge history, and she hasn't removed me on any socials.

My brain is caught between thinking it was genuine real-life burnout or just a polite excuse to be ‘I want to be in a relationship but not with you.’

Does this sound like true bad timing/burnout, or an excuse to get out?

Has anyone also experienced someone stepping back due to life chaos and popping back up months later once things settled?

Not getting many likes - how can I improve my profile?

I’m back on the dating apps after my ex and trying to improve my profile. What can I do differently to improve it?
