Help with file management, switching between tethered and importing from card

Any workflow tips for keeping files organized when you’re shooting between tethered and importing from a card on a job?

I am working alongside video shooting while they are rolling untethered, then tethered for short blocks of time without having a chance to import the previous images that were untethered first. When I get time I’m importing from the card doing exclude duplicates. The only thing is it takes a long time to scan the whole card and it will import any images I previously deleted.

Rates for use of personal full-size van

I happen to own a full-size high-roof van I use as my personal camper. What should I charge when I work as a photo assistant for its use? Sometimes the gear pickup equipment list is so large they would need to rent a van if not using mine.

I know mileage, but would like $50 / day in addtion to milage sound fair to request?

How do you prefer a guy follow up on a 1rst date if he’s not interested in you further?

Do you appreciate a thank you for the date be didn’t feel a connection type text?

Sometimes it’s obvious neither of us are interested in a 2nd date but I’ve had women say they don’t like ‘ghosting’. At the same time I have received these type texts when I also didn’t feel anything and yet it still stung a little to hear. I usually reply with something like “all good, I felt the same, good luck out there!”

Scarpa Blackbird VS Boostic heel

Is the Blackbird heel narrower or wider than the Boostic R? Deeper or shallower? Any Blackbird owners love the heel?

I was able try each on but in limited sizes and a week apart at separate stores so it’s hard to make a conclusion.

The Boostic R velcro strap is too loose on my thin mid foot and heel has a bubble of dead space, toes were too compressed to downsize more I think. The Blackbird fit better overall (maybe best on the market) and way more comfy just still not a perfect heel as it was a touch wide but so is everything on me.

I use to have the original parrot Boostic and get a little better fit than than the R. The Blackbird seems like the better shoe for me all around just hesitant to pull the trigger. It would compliment my women’s VS. Plan to be at a limestone climbing area all summer and know the VS W will be too soft and not as ideal for edging. I find highly asymmetrical toe shapes way comfy with my big toe and much as I love Instincts they start to hurt too much sustained hard edging.

Scarpa Blackbird heel

Is the Blackbird heel narrower or wider than the Boostic R? Deeper or shallower?

I was able try each on but not in the same size and a week apart at separate stores so it’s hard to remember.

The Boostic R velcro strap is too loose on my thin mid foot and heel has a bubble. The Blackbird fit better overall and way more comfy just not a perfect heel as it was a touch wide.

I seemed to get the best fit in the original Boostic parrot model and always fit that heel so it’s frustrating to try find a stiff techy edging replacement with asymmetrical big toe. Muira VS fits worse but closest thing.

Underseat rolling laptop case for pro photographer.

I’d love to have an underseat roller that fits a 16in MacbookPro and I can put my camera backpack that has a luggage pass through slot on top when walking/standing in the airport.

The 16” requirement is firm and the reason I can’t find something that works. I travel in the US for photoshoots with a Nomatic 35L camera backpack. All of my gear plus laptop on my back kills me standing around waiting in lines and walking around airports on travel days.

Other than that I just want quality wheels and a sturdy handle. Thinktank, a pro camera bag company makes something that does fit the laptop but think it might not fit under the seat. The camera inserts are not needed but I know their gear is super high quality for the money and will hold up. https://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/airport-navigator-v2
