Nassau Shores anyone?!

this was actually Roque Island off Jonesport, Maine.

but have you ever seen Black Sails? i always have the scene from the first episode in my head, where Long John silver lands in Nassau for the first time, when I do stuff like this. and I managed to time it perfectly to the same song ; )

More pirate silver!

Some of the latest projects out of the forge. Every time I make a decent sized batch for someone else, I make another one for my hoard. ; )

I just can't get enough pirate treasure!! 🏴‍☠️

Latest from the forge!

Some of the most recent .999 silver "pirate coins" from the forge.

All struck in the same way as the originals 400 years ago; hammered on an anvil, not cast. So each is different.

Enjoy my artwork!

Handmade silver pirate coins

Just sharing the solid .999 "pirate" coins I make. It's been a while since I shared any, and these latest ones look extra real, so I thought it was about time I shared some more pics of glorious silver (and gold).

I make them with a forge, hammer and anvil, no casting; the same way as the originals in the 1600-1700s.

It sure is a fun form to have a lot of my silver in! Hope you enjoy my art.

My handmade 1715 fleet cobs!

Ahoy friends. I just wanted to share my latest design. Clearly modeled after the classic cobs from the 1715 fleet wreck, just with a slight sneaky makers mark thrown in there, to make it my own design.

I strike them just like the originals, so they are all different. In solid silver and gold!

I am pretty proud of how they turn out.

I figured this group would appreciate them!

The latest treasure

The latest solid silver and gold cobs out of the forge, made with my newest design. Hyperrealistic cobs based off the most common design found in the 1715 fleet wreck.

Someone needs to take this gold one off my hands!

Pirate on!

Handstruck pirate treasure!

Well, Spanish treasure to be exact. But most of us know them as pirate coins, "pieces of 8" and "gold doubloons"! Some of the latest solid silver and gold Spanish treasure to come out of the forge. Struck with dies, not poured in molds; just the way it was done 400 years ago. I sure enjoy making these!

Today's pocket cob

One of my favorites. A beautiful triple dated cob from Potosi in 1678 with an amazing original crack.

Making silver pirate coins live!

We had a great couple days at Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor Maine, striking solid silver pirate coins live, letting people handle my hoard of genuine antique pirate coins, and teaching about cobs and the process to quite the crowds. Not to mention hanging with my friend Eric Redbeard of the "Pirates of the Dark Rose", and checking out and sailing on all the tall ships. Always such a good time at windjammer days!

Live silversmithing!

Did some silversmithing, forging silver coins, live at Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor Maine last week. Not your traditional "silversmithing" , but smithing silver none the less!

Always such a fun event.

Pirate festival Cutlass raffle!?

I am raffling this awesome very solid Cutlass, this genuine bezeled Spanish "pirate" cob, and some other pirate silver off at Windjammer days in Boothbay Harbor Maine next week.

I'll be forging silver, letting people handle my genuine pirate coin hoard, and teaching about the Spanish treasure and the method they were made.

If you want a chance at a sweet very solid Cutlass or some pirate silver, or just want to watch and learn how they were made, swing on by!

Silver lava!

Just a fun video pouring silver out to make shot for various projects.

I thought that was a fun part of the process not everyone gets to see.

Windjammer days in Boothbay Harbor?!

Who all is going to be at The Boothbay Harbor Maine windjammer days? It's June 22-26.

I'll be there demonstrating how they used to make the famous pieces of 8. And I'll have my collection of genuine pieces of 8 for people to handle and learn all about. One of your only chances in literally the whole world to handle a bunch of pirate treasure, if you don't have your own hoard.

I'll be raffling off some silver and a functional Cutlass too!

I'll be doing the demonstrations Tuesday and Wednesday. Who's going?!

The latest pirate silver

Ahoy! Just sharing the latest cob design. Mirrored nearly exactly after the popular cobs from the 1715 fleet wreck. Just one very subtle difference hidden in there. I can't believe how real the antiqued ones look. What say ye?!

Pirate cat?!

My cat was having issues with one of his eyes, so he was keeping it closed. He is getting better now. But someone made him into a pirate for me. Lol.
