Attempt at translating Frutiger Metro to Pixel Art
Some months ago, I started working on a custom level for a game, wanting to make the style a bit more experimental I tried to incorporate FM to it, looking back I feel it could have done better

I want to clarify that most of this is just a personal opinion that I wanted to share, everyone has fun in their own way and everyone has their own interpretation about something.
Something that I have been seeing recently with the come of Frutiger Aero being somewhat revive, is that the designs people made feel rather "Overdone".
Frutiger Aero, as how I see it and from what I could have gathered from everything around it from it's era and such, was made as a way to be "Minimalist" most of the time, in the sense that you see less objects in a scene, but have high detail, the shines, that glass fresh feel, the contrasting colors, etc. To me is what I believe Frutiger Aero is, good examples being the Wii and the Miis, Windows 7, the first generation of iPhones with the inclusion of skeuomorphic UI design due to phones being something new, hell the PS3 menu and PS Home, the Xbox360 Avatars, etc.
So what do I mean with Overdone? Stuff like this:
It just uses the thing that is most well known and doesn't try to do anything new with it, just placing stuff because "Oh it looks green and blue, is "fresh" and shiny" Which I don't blame but I wish people did way more research on what Frutiger Aero is, how did it start, how did it develop and how we can even improve upon it without making the same, green landscape with bubbles and such.
Based of kAN's portable sawmill with some extra bits, also the sorry for the music, had to put it due to me watching a video of a guy mashing mp3s with a rock
I like him a lot, what do you think?
Technically my second proper model, really happy how it came out, and any feedback it's appreciated since I'm not that sure about some of the colors in the textures!
I genuinely recommend this mod, it still uses your factory gauges so you still gotta craft them but all your logistics in a single GUI is so cool to look at
Something that I been thinking for a while, after watching a video that included the Aeronautics developers... What is your opinion on the Gyroscope from Create: Aeroworks?
I feel mods that add items to aid in reducing the spaghetti and help to fit more in less (ex: Create: Connected, Petrol's Parts) can be a good aid (sometimes) and can be balanced (sometimes) in a way that help your factory to be more efficient when routing stress units.
And all of this is different when we take Aeronautics, where instead of making an entire factory and the logistics about it, its about balance, flight, making sure the conditions of your simulated contraption are right and i feel that's a challenge that its fun to figure out so I feel when it comes to Aeroworks and it's Gyroscope I personally feel it becomes a bit too cheat-y, I think Aeronautics is intuitive enough and it offers enough stuff to make your own auto-balance system/components like the gyroscopic propeller and the gimbal sensor, Aeroworks's Gyroscope feel more of a cheat than an addition.
There's nothing wrong with using them, everyone plays in their own way! That's what Minecraft and Create it's about at the end of the day, I personally just don't see myself using them because it removes a layer that the Aeronautics developers worked really hard on.
Recently I been thinking of some concepts for a possible Aeronautics mod, and ended up concepting this thing here, the Liquid Backtank! (Texture is a WIP since i repurposed the Copper Backtank's texture)
This backtank would work similarly to the base backtank, just that it stores liquids! It can store up to 16 Buckets (32 with the Capacity Enchantment)[Willing to change these values since I'm not fully sure], input and output both via pipes or with a bucket via the hatch (inspired by Dragons Plus)
Next in line would be making some tools that make use of this Backtank, and already have some ideas
