Sharing a piece from my collection :)
On a glass vase
Hi all - sharing a piece from my collection
Superb faceting on this thin-walled piece with very clean base finishing and excellent colour control.
Dimensions:
Height: 30cm
Width: 20cm
Any help in identification would be greatly appreciated :)
Hi all - happy to share a piece I recently picked up for my collection :)
I’m unable to figure out the monogram/signature on the piece and hoping someone may be able to assist :)
Many thanks in advance!
Hello all :)
Happy to share this stunning piece in my collection and would love some help in identification if possible. To my eye it seems somewhat contemporary, but would welcome any thoughts and opinions on the piece
Dimensions:
Height: ~25cm
Width: ~10cm
Weight: ~1.15kg
The possible markings on the base are almost lost to the sands of time, however - with some angled light and contrast, some lettering appears to pop out
Purchase on eBay - the seller has another identical piece (as identical as can be when hand-worked!) - I have asked him to inspect his piece’s base to see if similar markings can be found.
If found I will update/reupload the post with both sets of images, with his permission, for comparison.
Any help in identification would be greatly appreciated
- many thanks in advance :)
Hi all!
Recently added this piece to my collection and hoping for an ID and potential identification of the signature/monogram on the back
Many thanks in advance :)
Hoping someone may be able to assist in identifying a piece which I’ve been stuck on for weeks.
Battuto style deep blue (almost black) asymmetrical vase with a polished base and polished concave pontil area.
There appears to be an engraved monogram/signature on the Pontil area embellished with a profile view of a lions head.
As well as additional markings on the piece itself - perhaps initials, followed by a piece number/date, and some control marks/additional symbols.
Very much almost worn away through time - and tough to see without contrast effects and angled light
Hoping someone may be able to provide some information on this piece! Many thanks in advance 🙂
Dimensions:
~24cm height
~11cm width
~1.4kg
Reupload with high resolution images including some 365nm UV light images in the hopes someone may be able to assist with identifying this piece :)
Many thanks in advance :)
Hi all!
Reuploading with some clearer images following the guidance here, and some higher resolution images of the texture and base of the piece - guidance so far has suggested that this piece may be Murano:
Dimensions are roughly:
15cm width
6cm height
1.1kg weight
Happy to provide additional details upon request
Any help in identifying the piece’s attributes and maker would be greatly appreciated - many thanks in advance!
Has wavy ridges going along the piece in 2 sections going around the piece, one below the rim, and one lower down.
Wondering whether this piece is inciso, and who could have made it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
Hi all - uploaded this earlier but realised that pictures aren’t clear enough so have uploaded gifs instead.
This is a glass piece in my collection which looks like it has etched markings on the base - they jump out compared to the wear marks.
Believe there may be initials / a date / an edition code on the underside. Does anyone know what they might be?
Unsure of origin on this piece, just think it has some markings on the bottom which look deliberately engraved - can’t even tell which orientation thehre supposed to be read in!
Is there anyone who read and transcribe what may be written?
Thank you! :)
Hi everyone :)
Bit of a long shot, I know! But I recently added a piece of Murano glass to my collection and I’m trying to identify the potential maker, edition/serial number and manufacturing year etc of this piece :)
To clarify, there appears to be multiple (3-4+) Inscriptions on the base of the piece:
The polished pontil appears to have a large diamond-point inscription of a stylised ‘M’, ‘S’, ‘LV’, ‘W’, or ‘CM’ etc.
Initials in image 2 which I believe may be AS or AR.
Edition number/code/date(?) in image 3 e.g. 1/22
Some sort of text / authentication mark. I’m thinking it may say ‘Seguso’ but unsure if I’m reading it in the correct orientation!
Any help would be appreciated! Happy to provide additional images :)
Many thanks!
Hi everyone - just added this beautiful sommerso geode bowl to my collection in emerald green with copper aventurine flakes. I love the depth and ‘double layer’ illusion that the aventurine flakes give.
Approx Measurements:
16cm diameter
5.5cm height
1.57kg weight
Would love to learn more about it - any information on period/maker would be appreciated :)
Edit: some additional information:
The rim is flat with no ridges.
The aventurine appears to be on both the top and bottom sides of the green cased bowl
Many thanks :)
Hi everyone - picked this up to add to my collection,
It’s 5.25inches in height and glossy and smooth all over. quite thin-walled. It has a stamp which says venini but I can’t find any similar models
