As a Jaws fan, what do you think of Devil Fish/Monster Shark?

Unlike other italian Jaws rip-offs like Orca or The Last Shark, this movie's the least talked about rip-off, but it did get featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and ended up being the inspiration for the infamous Syfy film "Sharktopus".

This movie follows a mysterious sea creature, that was secretly genetically engineered by the military, terrorizing a Florida tourist town.

Despite it's alternative title of "Monster Shark", this movie's antagonist is a hybrid between an octopus and the Dunkleosteus, a prehistoric placoderm.

The movie is directed by Lamberto Bava, who also directed the 1985 movie "Demons" (or "Dèmoni") and it's sequel, and was also an assistant director for Cannibal Holocaust, but the movie recieved bad reviews.

What are your thoughts on Devil Fish? Or Monster Shark, whatever it's called.

Just beat JAWS: Ultimate Predator on an Android Wii Emulator!

Great game, very underrated to be honest.

JAWS in Japan (2009)

JAWS in Japan, also released under the title "Psycho Shark", is a 2009 japanese horror movie directed by John Hijiri, and despite it's title, it has nothing to do with JAWS, but it's so bad it makes JAWS 3-D, JAWS: The Revenge or even Bruno Mattei's italian knock-off, "Cruel Jaws", look like masterpieces.

Supposedly, it's a shark movie...but when you watch the movie, you'll realize that it's not. The movie is about young college students having fun at a beach while a serial killer stalks them, the story is narrated through VHS recordings and you have to wait a long time until the serial killer finally kills someone...as for the shark? It appears in only two scenes: once in a dream sequence, and again at the LAST 30 MINUTES OF THE MOVIE...the shark is a huge megalodon and the CGI for it is horrible, it also just appears randomly during the confrontation between the serial killer (or two serial killers? I forgot because of how boring this movie is) and the college students, it jumps out of the water to eat them and the movie ends with the protagonist's camera falling to the ground and gets covered in blood, while one last footage of the students is shown. It's unclear if the shark exists or if it's just a metaphorical device.

To be honest, i still found some parts of it fun, like the ending, and how the movie "tries" to be scary but fails miserably, the rest is pretty boring. However, the song at the end credits is a banger.

As a Jaws fan, what do you think of Orca: The Killer Whale?

This movie often gets overlooked as a "Jaws knock-off" and was even made fun of in a scene from Jaws 2, showing a dead orca that was supposedly killed by the movie's great white shark. However, this movie is a hidden gem, it's a sad story about an Orca who's pregnant mate is murdered by a fishing boat's captain and seeks revenge on his entire family.

It makes you wonder who you should be rooting for, the orca who wants revenge or the captain who wanted to catch just another animal.

I recommend this movie if you haven't seen it, but if you have, what are your thoughts on it?

when the movie ending is so bad you recreate it in simpleplanes

who said simpleplanes is only for building planes anyway

(for anyone curious, this is the ending from JAWS: The Revenge)

Honest thoughts on Jaws 2?

I always hear how the first movie is a masterpiece and how 3 & 4 are dogshit, but what about 2? It's the least talked about installment in the franchise, and it isn't as bad compared to the last two sequels. What are your thoughts about it? And would you consider it canon to the story?
