As a Jaws fan, what do you think of the Piranha franchise?

Steven Spielberg himself praised the original movie by calling it "the best Jaws rip-off", and yeah i can agree with that, i loved it. Can't say the same for the sequel...(crazy to think it was directed by James Cameron) but it was fun, i see it as a "so bad it's good" movie. As of now i've only seen the first two movies and i liked them, but what are your thoughts on the franchise?

What do you think of Knight Rider 2000?

Out of all the attempts at a KR sequel, i think this one is the least bad out of them.

What are your thoughts on this made-for-TV sequel?

What do you think of the Joy Ride/Roadkill franchise? (featuring Paul Walker, the actor of Brian O'Conner from the Fast & Furious movies)

Joy Ride is one of my favorite horror movies, the sequels for me are mixed bags but i had fun with them anyway, but what are your thoughts on this trilogy?

Is Rocky V really that bad, or just overhated?

Even Stallone hated this movie...is it really that ass?

Is Scary Movie (2026) really as bad as people say?

I've been hearing about all the reviews of this movie and, with the exception of a very few people, pretty much everyone seems to hate this movie, with Moist Cr1tikal even claiming it's as unenjoyable as Scary Movie V. Is it really that bad and unfunny?

What do you think of the JAWS games?

While the JAWS franchise itself is a mess (with the exception of the first one, obviously), the games based on it were fuckin' awesome, especially Unleashed and Ultimate Predator.

What do you think about 'em?

What do you think of the Open Water franchise?

Open Water, the film series about individuals getting stranded in the ocean, either getting murdered by sharks, or killing eachother in the dumbest ways possible if we're talking about the sequels.

Technically this isn't really a franchise, "Adrift" & "Cage Dive" are marketed as part of the Open Water franchise in the US and some other countries including mine, which is why i bet some people do not know that Open Water even had sequels, or maybe because the sequels are so bad they're mostly forgotten.

The first movie is great, it's not perfect but that's mostly because it's a low budget indie film. Inspired by the real life story of the disappearance of Tom and Eileen Lonergan, the story follows the protagonists Daniel Kintner and Susan Watkins, who go to a scuba-diving vacation to spend more time together and join a group scuba dive, but while underwater they separate from the group, and a miscount causes the dive master to think everyone is on board and the boat leaves. Daniel and Susan are then stuck in the ocean infested with sharks (which, by the way, were ACTUAL caribbean reef sharks used in filming) and try to survive.

It's a great film, yet very depressing, and apparently you need to be a patient person to watch this movie because it can seem pretty boring at times, according to some dumbass critics. I recommend it if you haven't seen this movie.

Open Water 2: Adrift, or just simply "Adrift" in some countries, is a movie based on Koji Suzuki (the same writer of the Ring and Dark Water novel) short story "Adrift" (despite the movie claiming to be based on "true events"), and while it is often known as a "bad film", i actually liked it, despite it being infuriating at times due to how dumb the characters are, in fact there aren't even sharks in this movie, the actual danger is the protagonists themselves. The movie follows a group of friends go on a weekend cruise on board a yacht, during their voyage they decide to jump off the boat for a fun dive, but then they realize they didn't lower the yacht's fucking ladder, and their newborn child was also left on the fucking boat, so then they start to argue and all, then they try to get on the boat but then fail miserably, the first half of the movie makes you very infuriated, but in the next half the movie slowly starts to get better, and also makes you sad, with the baby on board crying, the captain feeling guilty for having ruined a once happy friendship...etc.

I'm pretty mixed about this movie and i bet a lot of you aren't fans of it unlike the first movie, but i did like it but i'm not sure if i'd recommend it to whoever hasn't watched it.

Open Water 3: Cage Dive, or just "Cage Dive", is...just ass. Okay maybe not that bad, but it's definitely the worst of the trilogy. It's a found footage mockumentary about a trio of americans who go on a cage diving excursion for a TV show, but then a rogue wave capsizes their boat and are left stranded in the ocean infested with great white sharks. While the movie does feel more like a true sequel to Open Water, nothing about the movie is great and doesn't have that scary, sad and depressing tone the first two movies had, and it steals the idea of a cage dive excursion gone wrong from 47 Meters Down, released the same year. I don't really recommend this one, it's pretty shit.

What's your opinion on these three movies?

As a Jaws fan, what do you think of Devil Fish/Monster Shark?

Unlike other italian Jaws rip-offs like Orca or The Last Shark, this movie's the least talked about rip-off, but it did get featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and ended up being the inspiration for the infamous Syfy film "Sharktopus".

This movie follows a mysterious sea creature, that was secretly genetically engineered by the military, terrorizing a Florida tourist town.

Despite it's alternative title of "Monster Shark", this movie's antagonist is a hybrid between an octopus and the Dunkleosteus, a prehistoric placoderm.

The movie is directed by Lamberto Bava, who also directed the 1985 movie "Demons" (or "Dèmoni") and it's sequel, and was also an assistant director for Cannibal Holocaust, but the movie recieved bad reviews.

What are your thoughts on Devil Fish? Or Monster Shark, whatever it's called.

JAWS in Japan (2009)

JAWS in Japan, also released under the title "Psycho Shark", is a 2009 japanese horror movie directed by John Hijiri, and despite it's title, it has nothing to do with JAWS, but it's so bad it makes JAWS 3-D, JAWS: The Revenge or even Bruno Mattei's italian knock-off, "Cruel Jaws", look like masterpieces.

Supposedly, it's a shark movie...but when you watch the movie, you'll realize that it's not. The movie is about young college students having fun at a beach while a serial killer stalks them, the story is narrated through VHS recordings and you have to wait a long time until the serial killer finally kills someone...as for the shark? It appears in only two scenes: once in a dream sequence, and again at the LAST 30 MINUTES OF THE MOVIE...the shark is a huge megalodon and the CGI for it is horrible, it also just appears randomly during the confrontation between the serial killer (or two serial killers? I forgot because of how boring this movie is) and the college students, it jumps out of the water to eat them and the movie ends with the protagonist's camera falling to the ground and gets covered in blood, while one last footage of the students is shown. It's unclear if the shark exists or if it's just a metaphorical device.

To be honest, i still found some parts of it fun, like the ending, and how the movie "tries" to be scary but fails miserably, the rest is pretty boring. However, the song at the end credits is a banger.
