I bought a 2nd hand t598 and it arrived yesterday and i was super excited to use it but the brake pedal just isnt working, the steering and throttle are both recognised and i swapped the plug ins for the brake and throttle pedals and the thottle was still working fine on the brake pedal when it was plugged in to be like that. I've tried reinstalling firmware, factory reseting on the wheel itself, tried messing around in the software and nothings working. I've also messaged the seller and he said it was working fine on his xbox (im on pc) . His message to me regarding the issue:

"Hello, There is a fault like this that occurs when the system needs resetting to the Xbox. Try pressing the middle button on the wheel and connecting your Xbox account which does help with resetting it. I’ll look up what to do exactly if it doesn’t help as it will be that cable connecting the pedals if not."

I'm also thinking about contacting thrustmaster support but does anyone here know what could be causing the issue outside of a faulty wire which i dont think i have because the seller would hopefully have informed me about.

I tried looking on youtube and couldnt find anything and ive tried myself but cant figure it out

I know that the META is to exclusively upgrade ur engine for the most cost efficient performamce increase but at what point should you upgrade something else? For example when u have the best engine on the grid is it better tk extend the gap or upgrade other stuff
