New to the Mesh

Just ordered my first meshtastic devices. Got some WisMesh tags coming for geolocation and communication use at a music festival with the group.

Wondering if there are any recommendation or best practices for first use?

Any way to piggyback a Starlink connection so my wife can have a live chat with our kiddo anytime we’re away from the campsite?

ATTTF Release Schedule Thoughts

First off, just still so stoked we have tour starting in 10 days and the first 3 constellations are straight gas.

Looking at the tour we have 7 stops currently and 6 remaining constellations.

What are the odds we get a constellation per tour stop culminating in a blowout set of shows after total release?

I’m groovy if all 6 drop in November but I was just thinking last night that in 10-12 days we may have not just 3 new live sets but another studio constellation release. HOLY SHIT…!

New Update Trashed App (iOS 27)

Hoping some devs will see this as I doubt it’s an issue everywhere but in the past week since an update was released for iOS the app has become extremely non-functional for me. Stuttering and loading 1-2 seconds at a time with 5-10 second silent windows and sped up catching up for missed frames/audio.

Have deleted and reinstalled, power cycled device, everything. Something needs to be fixed. 😔

2018 Model 3 Heater Dying

Hey everybody. So I have an older Model 3 with over 136K miles on it. I’m starting to observe some weird HVAC behavior and I’m like 80% sure replacing the PTC heater core will solve all my problems.

Currently on top of the error codes being thrown these are my issues: No Keep/Camp/Pet modes available “Due to Climate Fault” and I seem to not be able to get the heater to turn on (AC will run when set to 81° and Auto with the exterior temps at 74°)

My question to the community is does the listed issues and service codes agree with my analysis that it is likely just the heater core that’s gone out given the AC is functioning perfectly?

Considering doing this replacement at the house myself but it necessitates a Toolbox+ subscription which I’m not opposed to but would prefer to not dive into if there could be other issues that I’m better off having checked at a Service Center.

For full disclosure I rideshare and roadtrip in this car and I’m hoping for at least another 100K miles. FSD is outright purchased and I might even replace the HV battery if they ever get HW retrofit centers established.

Thanks for your time. Appreciate the responses. To also give some background I’ve already ordered parts from Tesla and done my own work (control arms) so I’m not afraid of getting into the car although this would be the first thing I’ve done that requires a HV disconnect.

Used Equipment Marketplace

Hey everybody. So I’m more of a hobbyist with aspirations of opening a lab down the road one day.

I already have some equipment but I’m always looking for ways to upgrade my setup. Does anybody know of what marketplaces I should look at for second hand lab equipment to save a buck?

I figure there are some Discord communities that I’m unaware of or maybe some other more niche forums like future4200 but really hoping for more of a “listing focused” approach/site.
