Legion Go S - no buttons in the UI
I use SteamOS and the game is rarely show any hotkeys on the UI. What could be the problem? Anyone facing the same issue?

Is there a way to force my legion go s to act it’s internal controller as an xbox controller? I use SteamOS and one game I love (Civilization VII) thinks I use a steam controller and the game is not really supporting the steam controller so the UI is not showing the right hot keys.
Is there a way to change the layout to act as an xbox controller?
The ui is weirdly shows the hotkey buttons, many times it just didn’t show buttons which are able to press in the actual situation. Is it for me only or anyone else also facing this issue? Like for example the next turn (Y) button is not showen on the bottom right corner, but also “x” as an option for many situations are missing from the ui.
I have no idea for example how I can purchase a building in cities, I tried every button but nothing worked… would be nice to see a fix for this

I’ve never played a single Civilization game before, but I saw it on a YouTuber I like and have basically been hooked on Civ 7 ever since it came out. I’ve put in nearly 800 hours so far, I watch content creators, I play exclusively on Deity difficulty, and I’m just three leaders away from 100% completion and I feel like I always learn something new..
It’s so interesting to see that the kind of ecstasy I feel isn’t reflected on Reddit—in fact… I see that about four times as many people are still playing Civ 6 to this day, and they’re constantly bashing the game.
My question is simply this: is Civ 6 really that much better than Civ 7 (post-Test of Time) as people claim, and if I love Civ 7 this much, will I like Civ 6 even more—or is this more of a rebellion against the developers due to the lackluster release and expensive DLCs? (Which, by the way, I totally understand, like 30€ for the last dlc is criminal)
Also, what exactly is it that Civ 6 fans miss so much in Civ 7? And aren’t there any new features in Civ 7 that would make it worth switching over?
Can someone explain what the alienware monitor’s model name means? I’m so lost…
For example
AW2725DM
- AW /Alienware
- 27 /27”
- 25 /2025
-D /?
-M /?
I also saw “F”, “Q” which I have no clue what they means.
It would be also awsome to know what the different between the generations, so what have changed from the 24 models to the 25 models and if 26 is even exist?
Thanks for all the alienware experts who know the answares, also if you may know even more meaning, which you don’t see here, please don’t hesitate to ask! Would be nice to have a reddit post which explains everything in one place and update for the future because I couldn’t find this details anywhere 🙏🙏🙏
I’m looking for a gaming earbuds for my legion go s but the 2 usb inputs are so close to each other and I’m afraid if I plug the receiver, the charger won’t fit next to it.
Anyone use earbuds with receiver? If so, which one?
I’m planning to buy a PS5 Pro because I’ve realized I’m more of a console gamer, and since I love handhelds, I was also thinking about getting a Portal. However, I’m very sensitive to input lag and image quality. I don’t mind if the graphics settings aren’t ultra or anything like that, but things like frame generation are a dealbreaker for me. Latency is also something I can’t tolerate, so I’d only be happy with the Portal if it could deliver a 1:1 (or at least 95% 1:1) experience compared to native gaming.
I’d be using the handheld close to my router, only at home, and the PS5 would be connected via Ethernet, so I assume the setup is already more than ideal for the system.
What do you guys think, would the Portal work for me, or is it better to forget about it before I buy one?
I just bought a Switch 2 because I love handhelds and honestly this is the most satisfy handheld I’ve ever used, but I don’t know what to play on it… My all time favourit game is Civilization VII on handhelds because I like the games where I have to use my brain and every game is so unique.
I really like the games which has a great gameplay loop and the easy to start hard to master ones. I can also respect a lot if the game looks artistically good, like for example I loved Disco Elysium because of the music and art style. I like great stories but honestly the game loop is more important for me. I really like to explore (if it worth to explore, for example elden ring and zelda botw was fantastic)
Some games I tried before and loved it:
Dave the diver (visual, explore, unique story)
Cult of the lamb - (visual, music, vibe)
Elden ring - (gameloop, explore, challange)
Civilization vii - (gameloop, challange, replayability, hard to master)
Disco elysium (music, visual, vibe)
Pokemon gen 3-4 (nuzlocke) - (challange, nostalgia)
What I don’t like at all: tutorials, reflex based games, weak game loops, story onlys and games which I feel like it was made for childs (I’m 30 by the way)
If you have any advice what should I try next, please don’t hesitate!! I apreciate every kind of advice and I’m open mind for everything!
I moved to a different country and want to watch F1 live in my language so I use nordvpn to be able to connect, however after a 5minutes of watching, live stops and I get this message:
this video file cannot be played. error code: 232011
Do you guys have any idea of how I could solve this issue? (The live is perfect, good quality, smooth, no lagging, so it would be really nice to be able to continously watch it)
EDIT:
Solved the issue. I opened a new browser in incognito and it worked for me
Hi guys!
So I recently bought Civ VII on switch 2 but I have a hard time dealing with the default keys, confirmation on Y but sometimes on X is confusing and also hide/unhide the hex information bar on the left joy pressing is just not comftable. Have you guys changed the default keys, and if so, could you share it with me and with the others?
Thanks a lot 🙏
EDIT: I play handheld mode and I want to keep it this way. I know the game supports mouse mode but I just want to play it in my hands without finding a flat surface
I don’t like leds in general, especially if the device is sleeping so I downloaded the “HueSync” to Decky and choosed to turn off the power LED during sleep, but it still pulsating when the device is on sleep mode. Did I something wrong?
(Legion Go S / SteamOS / Z1E)
EDIT:
PROBLEM SOLVED; you need to enable the “Enable RGB Lighting Control” under the Light Control menu
Hi guys!
I just bought a legion go s used with 16gb of ram. I went to the frame buffer to switch the vram size and realised I have only 8G meanwhile everyone on youtube who present this change has one more option, 16G
Is there something wrong with my device or is it normal? Also what is your opinion, where should I put it?
Is it possible to tethering GFX 100S II and saving to SD card the RAWs and tethering the JPGs only so I keep space on my laptop/tablet and also make the tethering faster?
I work a lot for clients and it would be nice to continously show them the images meanwhile the raws are saved on the SD card?
Or what is the best solution for this type of photoshootings?
