My wife got her portal 1 email today for her PR Application.

Soon she will get P2 and then apply for COPR and PR Card.

Issue is that her work permit expires on 1st of November.

IRCC reports delay in processing eCOPRs.

What is the best option if she doesn't get eCOPR until her work permit expires?

Applying for a new work permit seems wrong now that she is just waiting for eCOPR. Waste of both time and money.

Can she stay out of status? For how long?

Or should she apply for a visitor record?

She will have a valid TRV on her passport but that doesn't give her status or the right to stay, correct?

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

I was looking to get a cheap plasma TV for a dark late night movie watching experience.

Saw this LG 50PG10 for sale for $40

Looks like it's a 2008 model

Not high end plasma and older, heavy but no burn in is visible when watching any content and looks decent if I use a decent 1080p source.

Any suggestions? Helpful tips etc?

I previously posted about having issues with verifying identity using my driver's license and passport on the app.

I wasn't able to do so despite trying multiple times on multiple days for the last couple of weeks or more.

Even reached out to support but they couldn't help me. They said someone will reach out to me via email but I am still waiting.

Turns out using an iPhone for this step worked on the first try. I tried with my android and wasn't able to do so, on a hunch I used my wife's iPhone and it worked on the first try.

Same ID same angle, lighting etc. No difference other than the platform.

I’m looking to give my front yard a makeover and would love to use native grasses and flowers.

Ideally, something low-maintenance that doesn’t need mowing all the time. (Or not at all : ))

Does anyone know of affordable native seed mixes or specific species that do well around Winnipeg (North West)? Something cheap and easy to get.

I will be clearing the yard completely (herbicide application) and will be tilling the soil, so any tips on starting from scratch would be super helpful too. Currently it's just weeds.

Most yards on my street are just plain grass, and I’d love something a bit different and native.

P.S. the front yard is shared with my neighbor and not a lot of my own space so something that will still keep me in good terms with my neighbor will be better

Just a rant...

Getting lab reports done and results received in a timely manner is also part of the health care that needs to be improved in our city and province.

Shouldn't it come under one of the promises made by this government to improve health care?

First you wait at the doctors, then wait at the dynacare to give samples (Can never get an appointment unless a few weeks in the future), then wait for the results to go to the doctor, then wait for the doctor to call you and then wait for the doctor again to be seen. (I know family doctors exist)

How many new Dynacare have opened up since the population boom these last few years? If the ratio is appropriate why does it feel slower than before/usual?

What is the appropriate time to get results back from Dynacare? Have been waiting close to 2 weeks now in 2 days.

Does anyone else feel the same?
