Southern Manitoba Potatoes
Did I do something wrong with my potatoes or is this normal? We get high winds here and direct sun. Is this normal for this time of year?

EDIT: Thanks folks!
This year there’s a decent amount but they are still pretty small.

This is such a silly thing to ask, but I would rather be safe than sorry. A mouse has taken up residence in my compost bin it seems, or at least it has been visiting frequently for snacks. I have an open-bottom type canister composter so definitely it wouldn't be too difficult for a determined critter to get in from the bottom.
Should I be concerned about mouse poo in my compost? It will overwinter and then go in my veggie garden beds next spring. Is there any real health risk here that I should be concerned about? Less concerned about my plants and more concerned about human health risk.
Also, the compost bin is in my garden - not anywhere close to my house or garage. Personally, I would rather let the mouse do their business and let nature take its course if it's not a big health concern.
Thanks in advance!
Look at this zucchini I grew. Apparently, it's caused by a hermaphroditic flower mutation. Neat!
Bought a new to me house this year and there are some very ambitious saplings that had taken root near the foundation. Some have been growing for years, and look like they’ve just been trimmed down to the ground periodically.
Seeking advice on how to kill them so they stop coming back. Any online search seems to bring up products that are not for sale in Canada.
This is my first year growing pumpkins and its proven to be a challenge at every turn. Ive loved it though!
I have 1 large pumpkin growing on the closer to the roots portion of the vine then these guys.
The ones on another stem off the main stem grew bigger but failed to maintain firmness and became yellow.
How do I help create more pumpkins than the 1 big one I have?
First time gardener. Full time idiot.
Can anyone help to ID this tree? It didn't produce berries last year and the leaves were much fuller. This year, I can't tell if it's just because the tree is putting all of it's energy into the fruit, or if it's diseased. All of the branches are rather sparce with browning leaves.
I did ID an invasive honey suckle near by it and need to take care of that yet.
I have finally successfully grown the fruit! Ive had some close calls but they never made it to bloom the flower.
Now I have this one! And a couple others who are smaller.
I placed mulch over the grass thinking it would keep the pests out but I noticed the underside had little ripples and less green. I placed a pot under the pumpkin but it doesnt seem much better. The dirt is from the pot,not rot.
My other pumpkins arent growing nearly as large, and they seem to be less dense than before.
I pinched off a couple growing ends to halt growth.
Anything else?
This is my baby. And the others. I need to get to harvest!! Please!
I have a few sunflowers plants I started from seeds, and they were getting big juicy buds on them- so looking forward to seeing them open, but just now when I went to look, the top of one is totally dried and desiccated! Are these bugs responsible? What can I/should I do?
