How are you guys navigating careers?

Getting 30 and struggling to get out of entry level hell, I've been wondering how you guys have been able to get ahead and change careers. I've been stuck in hospitality and restaurants for a while it's been aggravating to say the least.

How do you define living

You know learning more about being an INTP and thinking about my life I have to wonder, how do you define living what is living for you? I can distinctly remember working and going home all the time and enjoying my time gaming and being alone and I think that rubs other people the wrong way. My sister once told me "go out and live", and I still wonder many years later what is living truly?

Employers hiring in October

Hello I was wondering about employers hiring in October I have checked coolworks and there isn't much right now. I'm assuming late this month and in September there will be more postings. If possible I want to try to get into an entry level Night Auditor position but I'm open to other stuff.

Review on Stanford Sierra Conference Center

I finished working at the Stanford Conference Center recently and I must say as far as the management and location it's a great place to work. Management was very understanding and open to feedback along with the general workload not being too much. Now I will say that the major downside is that all of the All Purpose staff are going to have cut hours when it's slow. And in my case I struggled with a roommate that was way too immature and didn't know how to take responsibility for his actions but I highly doubt that's going to change until he learns the hard way. It is for sure a younger crowd that doesn't know how to deal with conflict well, the people over 24 were generally ok. All in a solid enough experience but I wouldn't go back for another season at this time, due to hours and the minor drama I did have to deal with and knowing those people want to come back. They do offer seasonal positions all year except for fall.
