I have everything set to low, battle effects off, and I'm literally playing on a gaming computer with the highest settings, yet this game is chugging like there's no tomorrow. I can't even beat the level! T-T Anyone have any experience with performance issues for this game? It's also only for Story Mode? The Raid battles seemed to run just fine! I'm desperate to get this level done for the Kingdom crossover event but it's starting to look impossible.

"For those who haven't seen it, a training video from SCOOP (The TBD's special department) was recently leaked online, and I just have to say... the Laboratorium IS accepting applications for researchers! True, the work is unpaid, but if you're looking to make a real difference in the Cookie World! Let's just say there are better options out there! And I'm sure with enough fudging, we can even get this to count towards college credit! Ha ha!"

I'm wanting to write a story set in the Flower City, but don't wanna contridict anything that happens or gets revealed in this narrative. Obviously this could be a spoiler should the story get an offical dub, but I'd rather know that risk contridicting canon if I can avoid it.

Hiya! I’m Nara. Nara the Narrator. 🌼

I really don’t expect anyone to remember me since not only have I not touched this sub in years, but all my posts here look like they’ve vanished due to my account being shadowbanned for a time. That stinks. XD

But hey! That means clean slate, right?

So several years back, I started working on the mod presented above. It was my first time programming, commissioning art, and working on a long-time project. As one would expect, things went pretty rough. Writing alone took about a year, and there were SO many problems along the way, both with the mod itself and general IRL stuff. It’s been a slog, and I’ve had to put it on the backburner so many times. It’s only been through the playthrough videos, discussion posts, and comments that I kept working on it at all. Four years since, and they’re all that kept me going. So, if you’re one of those people, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Seriously, you have no idea how much that stuff meant to me. <3

Honestly, the mod still isn’t very polished. With my current skillset, I feel I could do better with it. However, I’ve gotten pretty sick of having this thing as an unfinished project. It’s got bugs, typos, and errors, but I’m ready to move on to new stuff. So! This is my self-inflicted ultimatum. Next week, at some point, I’m compiling everything and posting this mod for good. I’ll do my best to make sure it’s playable, and if anyone comes back to me with a problem, I’ll fix it and repost it. But I’m putting this thing out, come hell or high water!

Besides, if any mod was gonna be littered with problems, it’d be the MC-focused one, right? 

Also! As one last thing, I wrote this little prequel story as a bridge between DDLC: Switcheroo (a big element of the game) and DDMCC. Feel free to give it a read if you want a taste of what’s coming.
