Crytek laid off one of the most passionate people about this game... something doesn't feel right. Anyone have any further knowledge?

So, ive been interested in psychedelics for a minute now, but have had some reservations. A buddy of mine is giving me some Xüm tablets to try if i'd like. I want to give my context for worries and/or pros, and would like your opinions to add to the mix of research I’m doing.
I drink and smoke weed. Not heavily on either. Thats the most ive done, so, absolutely beginner. I green out easier than most, but thats mostly due to my quick metabolism and I’m also slightly allergic to most weed.
I personally have no history with anxiety, depression, or any realm of psychosis-related issues. I've honestly got a pretty good understanding of my mental workings and am well controlled even when I’m greening out.
*Heres the real red flag*: my half brother had an unknown dosage of unknown psychotics a few decades ago, and suffered a complete mental breakdown. He now has bi-polar, schizophrenia, and a few more seriously debilitating mental illnesses. No other family history of such things to my knowledge. My dad and uncles on my dads side have done psychotics plenty of times and been fine.
I want to take 1-2 tablets of Xüm in a chill place with a buddy, but do not want to risk any life altering problems. Like, it sounds cool and I would love to experience it, but throwing a line up for a great life out the window is not going to be worth it to me.
Whats the opinions? Any suggestions or thoughts would be seriously appreciated.
