How does one go about "condemning" a group of people or a country's actions?

Is there some sort of paperwork involved? Or does one simply declare it aloud, like Michael Scott when he declared bankruptcy?

Why does the media behave as though the USA only uses fossil fuels?

What is the purpose of deliberately spreading half truths and making Americans feel as though they haven't been implementing renewable energy? Is it to drive these people towards pathological perfectionism? Why not give credit where credit is due?

Does Xi Jinping mention the "century of humiliation" in his speeches, as often as some sources proclaim? If so, why does he mention it so much?

The Business Hours Paradox

I absolutely hate this paradox!

It's different for every country. In some countries A HUGE chunk of businesses or other services, operate exclusively from 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm.

The problem is that a large percentage of people work those exact hours.

Meaning, when those working people need to access products or services AFTER WORK, chances are that the business or service that they need is CLOSED. Then one has to ask for days off at the mercy of an employer. Or ask coworkers to cover for them. Or get to the business EXTREMELY QUICKLY to GO WORK AFTERWORDS.

i.e.

  1. Someone needs to meet with a doctor for an appointment. But if the doctor's business hours are the same hours you work, you need to sacrifice a day's salary!

  2. Someone needs to be physically present to sign legal documents for a stupid bureaucracy. But the (always inconvenient) bureaucracy is only open during that person's work hours. Again requiring to sacrifice a day's salary!

  3. Pharmacies too! You need to collect your medication, but the pharmacy is only open when you are at work (varies by country)!

  4. You need to update some form of identification somewhere, but they require you to be present to update it. If they exclusively work the same business hours as you, again you need to sacrifice a day's salary to accomplish this!

We have SO MUCH technology in this day and age, but services haven't caught up NEARLY ENOUGH! So much time and convenience squandered! This is why automation is so important! All because the people at the top, don't have the BALLS to be more perfectionistic!

How would you solve the problem of bureaucracy in a more "government controlled" economy/society?

Bureaucracies all over the world are consistently among the last to adopt new technologies for convenience to the public. They are also very slow to adopt methods to work as efficiently as possible. And they are slow to correct problems that are started by that VERY bureaucracy (such as car-centric urban planning)!

But this problem appears to be MENTAL. That is to say, the bureaucrats themselves don't have a MENTALITY to want to increase speed, efficiency, convenience, communication, resilience, etc.

Why do I say that this is a problem of mentality?

Many times I've given suggestions to my bureaucrats, for how their services can operate more efficiently. Each time I'm responded to with shrugs, comments about how "they're not in charge of that", ignorance of how SLOW they work, and their delusion that "they're already automated enough".

So even when they receive suggestions directly from a citizen, there's little change. Some suggestions don't even require them to spend more money. They can simply reorganize some website functions or some organizational rules.

So in a more "government controlled" society how would you fix this problem?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm aware that businesses are NOT ALWAYS the most efficient or the most keen to be efficient. But USUALLY, businesses understand the importance of adaptation, efficiency, speed, etc.
