Shout out to the Boba who didn’t intervene.

I’ve been playing as the bowling balls the last few days for the first time and man are they fun! This was a clip from earlier today. I swear on console, people sleep on the droids and underestimate them.

I am wanting to build floating shelves here above the toilet. We have a very small house and very limited storage space, so I really need to figure this out.

Apparently there is only one stud on this wall. The corner on the right does not have one. I used a stud finder and got mixed results if there was one or not. So I took a small drill bit and drilled into to the wall in the corner to test in two separate areas to see if it there was one, and got nothing but dry wall. I don’t understand how there isn’t a second stud in that corner. From the right side of the stud to the corner is 16 inches.

What’s the best location for hinges for my gate I just built? The hinges will be on the left side (ignore that it says right and left on the wrong sides on the vertical posts).

I used half lap joints, if that changes anything.

Edit for clarification: I plan on putting the hinges on the left side. I am trying to see what the best position on the left side would be. Should they be in line where the brace meets the frame, above it, etc?
